    New ram, new crash

    Just installed another gig of pc3200 ram. Im up to two gigs now. Now when i try to run battlefield 2 it crashes at times. Quake 4 runs awesome with no crashes, as does call of duty 2. What's up with this?

      Run MemTest86. Most likely there is a conflict with the new RAM you installed.

          As already suggested:
          1. Go to http://www.memtest.org;
          2. Download and create either a boot floppy or boot CD (your preference);
          3. Reboot your machine and go into BIOS and change setting to make sure your first boot device is the aforementioned floppy drive or CD drive;
          4. Reboot again and then walk away. :)

          You should watch the first pass (2 GB @ 200 MHz will take about 40 minutes), and then let it run overnight.
