battlefield 2 game problems i need help plz

ok heres my setup

intel pentium 4cpu 2.66ghz 2.74ghz 1Gb

nvidia geforce fx 5600 xt 128mb

agp 4x

ok first off sorry if this was posted b4 i dont really have time to check other forums so i just wanted to apologize first off.. Now on to the problems.... id say about every map-map and a half the game crashes in 1 of 2 ways either crash to desktop, or it completely restarts the computer. #2 randomly throught the games my mouse just freezes in positon, i can still move the mouse just dont work. Can anyone help inform me on how to fix any of these problem. TY

Are you overclocking anything? If so, don't.

Reduce your in-game settings to 800x600 and LOW settings.

You should check your TEMPERATURES!! Both of your CPU and GPU. Check and make sure all of your fans are working. Especially your GPU fan, those FX cards are known for having faulty fans.

Your video card is not actually supported by BF2 so you can sometimes expect problems like this...(although a friend of mine uses an FX5600 256MB card with BF2 just fine)
