I admit I like getting my badges etc., so when I played on Die Nacktbar (GER BF2 RANKED) recently as an assault for a whole round, passing 22 kills, I expected the drumroll and get the Veteran badge. No drums and no badge! UBAR says you need 22 kills, maybe it's wrong. I really can't understand why DICE/EA can't post the requirements for the awards, it shouldn't be a guessing game!

Actually, you only need 20 kills.
But Anyway, the reason why you didnt get the badge was because of the other requirement.
15h Total time played while Assault
You must be short. Surpass that time, and then shoot for it again. -

I've played Assault for 65h, but if they mean 15h as assault on SF maps, then I'm short. However, I got the veteran badge for sniper (at 17kills), and I sure don't have 15h as sniper on SF maps, but 23h total, so something is still strange.Comment

Nah, looking at his stats he's got 65 hours as Assault!
I had this exactly same bug myself, however the next time I attempted to get the badge (the next day), I got it! Just try again - Iron Gate is a good place to start :)
EDIT:
You don't need 15 hours in SF as Assault, I had only played Assault in SF for some hours before I got the badge.Comment

I got all my vet badges in SF - got them all within just a couple hours of playing. It is your total time as a kit.
Odd that you did not get it though - especially with the amount of hours you have.
Keep checking your BFHQ - it might just show up there. I have had that happen with badges in SF. Got the req's - no drumroll - but a day later it was in my BFHQ.Comment
