    English only..

How many of you use the english only option?
Pros: You dont have to look to the side of the screen to see what everyone is saying.
Cons: When you hear an enemy soldier shouting, you might think he is a friendly and end up with a knife in the back.

    I have it disabled.

Off. I've had it that way in all the BF games so far. Plus, after a while you get used to hearing the Arabic/Chinese/Russian phrases so you don't have to look over for the translation anymore. Plus if I'm MEC and I hear someone yelling, "GET FIRST AID! HERE!", I know that an enemy is within earshot (or the red tag bug has struck again >_<).

I have english only on. If you hear something said, just look at your text screen and see if it showed up. If it did, then its a friendly. If it didn't, then its an enemy. I don't think you can hear enemy voice commands anyway. OrI thought anyway. Example if I come up behind an enemy and shock paddle him, but miss, they never respond to turn around and look. I figured cause they can't hear when I yell "Clear, Its recharging"

You can definitely hear enemies yelling "grenade" and "medic". If they didn't turn around maybe he also had english only on or just wasn't paying attention.

I have mine on, just can't stand the constant blabber of mec voices on karkand. Chinese isn't as bad, but still sucks. It drives me insane. I know that "pumbula" means grenade after being tked by so many.

probably the worst part about this is that if an enemy throws a nade or flash or something that is thrown but no text comes up, you can hear your enemy do it but when your allies do it you dont hear them say "grenade watch out" or whatever they say. Kind of dumb if you ask me.lol

                      "Arabic"...noob.

Also, I find it much better having the MEC speaking Arabic and the PLA Chinese (and the Russians Russian :)), considering you should be able to understand what they mean after some hours of playing and the fact that it's easier to detect your enemy in close quarters (especially if there's a dumb medic throwing med packs on the ground to heal himself; 1) you can see the medpacks through (Yes, I spell through like a Brit, just like honour and colour! Americans and their anarchistic 'English' :p) walls 2) you can hear him yelling...noob.)

English only for me, I tried the others but got annoyed pretty quick. I can hear enemies calling for backup, so remember when you have enemies around you, dont say anything, they will hear you if close enough.

English Only VO on here. I like to know when someone requires assistance, without spending time thinking about it. In a game like BF2, time is of the essence.
