[IDEA:] Add "Talk To Passengers" VOIP-Button.

I wish there was a function/third Button I could press to instantly broadcast my VOIP message to all the passengers of the vehicle I'm in.

Often enough I'm piloting a Blackhawk/APC or Jeep full of people, and would really like to be able to communicate with them.

Things like "GET OUT! We're gonna Crash!" or "Watch out, 3 tanks in front of us" or "WAIT! Stop so I can shoot the Helo!" or telling your Cobra pilot/gunner target locations come to mind.

Even better, the passengers could respond to me, telling me when they see a threat, or could tell me to quickly stop so the gunner can take out some helo or infantry.

I've already encountered dozens of situations like this, where it would've been immensely useful to be able to talk to my fellow passengers.

I think Inside-Vehicle Communication would be tremendously useful and is probably also pretty easy to implement.

What do you think? Good Idea? Bad Idea? Please vote and post, even if it's only to say "Oh god, yes, what a GREAT idea, we absolutely MUST have this feature!" .

Make a squad and invite them? Should be the first step when boarding an attack chopper at the very least. Doing it with Transport choppers and tanks is also very useful.
Use the commo rose for things like "BAIL OUT!"? They might not listen, but hey, you warned them.

YES YES YES! There have been many times when I've wanted to tell my gunner to change sides (of the chopper), or TV rocket, or my passengers to bail, or my driver to back up, or my pilot to hold steady.

Even better would be a "talk" instead of "radio" key, where you talk to nearby pepole, which could serve as the in-vehicle radio key.

Only problem with the latter, is it would make squads less desirable, and we really need more people in squads.

I think its a great idea, good job, I know sometimes I am squadding with my friends and am in a vehicle for a brief amount of time with some random soldior who I wanna talk to. I do not wanna leave my squad to create one with that person just for the short time we are in a vehicle. Yes it would be great to talk to them. Well put GOOD JOB! Best idea i have heard all day...Granted its not even 9am but hey its still a good idea.

Yes, 100%. Sometimes I'll be lonewolf defending a base using a tank or APC and someone will hop in and sit there expecting me to move. If I could just tell him 'I'm defending this base' without having to type it out (which a lot of people don't read anyway) then it would be a lot easier. Plus the helicopter gunner thing, too. I've always been in favour of a feature like this.

Bingo, it also might help lessen some animosity when passangers don't know what the hell drivers are thinking and vice versa.

            I'm all for it.

Or wait till you can speak to anyone near you in game, only the new XiFi sound cards will be able to do that if DICE enables this feature.

This is a no brainer..it makes perfect sense. There's been so many time I've wanted to talk to teammates in the same vehicle. Being in the same sqaud all the time just doesn't happen. It would definately promote even more teamwork.

                      I'll second this.

What do you mean by ''enable'' is it already coded ingame?
It would seem like a lot of work to pull off...

A "Talk To Area"-Button sounds good too, but I don't really want to be talked to over the course of the entire round.

It could be good for the engineer, who can tell the tank driver not to move, and the tank driver to tell the engi to step back for not running him over.
Or you could (in vain) yell after departing vehicles to pick you up.

But I could also imagine me being forced to listen to people discussing the latest graphics cards without being able to avoid them.

Might be fun, but I would be content with just vehicle-VOIP.
