A different kind of booster pack concern

There is something that I don't think anyone has touched upon yet with these booster packs.

Now when we are given the option to download these packs, are we also given another key to use them? As they are just a few maps and weapons I would assume they would be added to the standard BF2 pool of data, thus elimiating the need for 4 different versions of the game (2 booster packs, SF and regular BF2). This makes sense as loading the various versions of BF2 would be very time wasting and silly.

However in this scenario for someone to have a full BF2 game, they would need:
2 DVDs (BF2 and SF addon)
    Download 2 Booster Packs
    Download Latest Patch.

And subsequently have to use 4 serial numbers to install it all.

However if the new booster packs are just mini mods without unique keys and BF versions, then what is to stop people from just sharing them with friends for free. Considering it seems that EA didn't mind this with the SF addon and using the unlock guns on someone elses account (I did this myself and if you read the help section of EAs site, they said you are allowed to do this).

Unless there is some new delivery system or authentication for the booster packs, we are either going to have 2 more serials and BF versions or they will be easily shared.

    What do you think?

    What do I think?

I think you made my head hurt.

Actually I can see it as being 4 serial numbers....
I dont see it being an authentication code during the download (Or i hope it isnt) as the 1st thing I would do after downloading it would be back it up to cd/dvd) then write the ## on the disk for when i get a new computer... crash mine... accidently delete something etc.

    But who knows.

Good point. Having two separate mods, with only 3 maps each would be pointless.
