Or you just don't buy it an d let 'em figure out that it's a bad marketing move.

At the worst, you'll see boxed versions soon after the release of the second booster, I'm sure.

I'll predict that the packaging will suck, tho.

O great idea pay another $10 for the packing, it would already cost me $15 for the boster packs. Not worth it for what you get and other games would get that sort of stuff for free.

I'm curious... what are these other, current, non-pay-to-play games that are releasing these hoards of free extras that aren't just community made?

It's been awhile since I've seen that.

I've seen lots of releasing of community made content... even seen them sell content back to the community that made it.

If it's free stuff you want, look to mods. If not, then you've got nothing to complain about.

Releasing stuff for free that costs money to make is nice and all, but it's not good business.

Personally before i even decide to buy it, im gonna ask any one who does download it a very important question: are you downloading an install.exe file, or does it automatically install then self delete?

The reason i ask that is; if its a downloaded install.exe, then i can burn it to cd, thereby never need to dl it again. of course, anyone who didnt buy it couldnt play it (EA will make very sure of that, with activation codes etc). If its one of them self-deleting nonbackup files then i dont think ill bother, rather just wait until a boxed version arrives. and why? because i dont trust immaterial produce, quite simply. too easy for EA to go "oops! our system had a bug and it says you didnt pay, sucka" and theres nothing i can do.

I'm sure that it'll be the exact same thing as the SF download.

You download a .bin file that you can then burn to cd (as I did recently). When I reinstalled XP I just reinstalled the Ea Downlaoder and copied across the SF .bin data and reinstalled. Even so, the download remembers what you've paid for in the pact and let's you redownload the same content again anyhow.

And it think that we're pretty sure that there won't be a 'boxed-up' version available.

So let me get this straight - guys are complaining that they can't get the booster packs b/c they don't have online purchasing ability. OK, got that.

AND the same guys are complaining that if they can't buy them online then they'll have to get them when they're released, but also pay for packaging.

Am I the only one that sees the irony in that?

Is it really that hard to find some human being out there in the world that has a credit card that you could give $20 to? They're not that rare you know.

But then again, it's much more fun to bitch about stuff rather than finding a solution.
