Help Video Settings.

I added a resolution and a refresh rate but i guess my monitor doesnt support it or my card one but when i load the game it says out of range and the monitor screen is black.

Any file i can delete which will revert it to default resolution?

Or do i have to uninstall reinstall the game again?

im not exactly sure wat ur asking, but u want to revert to a normal resolution?

well to do that u can go to My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/0001 (or the one that u have and then open up video.con with notepad and the 4th to last one should change to
"VideoSettings.setResolution 800x600@70Hz" without quotes

but if this doesnt work, how did u "add" a resolution

From the scroll down option in video settings i added 1280 x 960 and as soon as i did the screen went black.

Go to the website for the make and model of your monitor and see what resolutions it supports.

If you are forcing resolutions and or refresh rates that it can't support you could damage it.

I just want the game to run i want the old 1024 reso i had or even 800 x 600 anyway i can revert it back to that so the game doesnt try to load the 1280 x 960 and the screen keeps going black?

i mean i will uninstall its looking like just takes time and redownloading the patch and my other saved settings id like to avoid all that head ache ya know?

C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAMEHERE\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001

another thing u can try is:
making a shortcut of the BF2.exe file and then right click onthe shortcut and go to properties and in the box next to "target" add
"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1024 +szy 768
