Install problems

So i bought BF2 a month ago and have been anxiously waiting to play it. I tried installing on my old computer but the video card wasn't good enough. Today I just got a new computer.
I tried to install it.... the first cd does fine. Then i put in the second cd and nothing happens. The install wizzard stays completely still. No error message comes up and it doesn't show that there is no response.
I tried restarting and I've found that it has to be the first file that is installed on the second cd. Man, i really have no clue. PLEASE HELP

Try copying the contents of your install discs to folders on your hard drive and install from there.

e.g. c:\disc1, c:\disc2, etc

thanks for trying.
i tried that but it keeps saying, "insert cd"
it won't let me install from my hard drive.
is there anything special i need to do?

i should also tell you that i originally installed it on my old computer and the install worked fine. any hints

Have you tried cleaning the disc?

Have you tried a complete manual uninstall?
