Ok, I bought and installed SF online with EA Downloader and worked fine all the patches worked the first time...I guess I got lucky. Anyways If I reformat my hardrive how do I install SF? Since us that bought SF online didn't get a CDKEY...I looked everywhere and havn't found exactly how to do it...I have a EA account ofcourse but theres nowhere that allows me to download SF or to even validate that I do OWN a copy of it...Can anyone shed some light on this?

Just click on the "Click here to download the game again" link just above the requirements. -
Re: Ooops Reformatted!!
Yeah but that is a royal PIA to have to download a 1gig file from EA's dog slow downloader anytime you want to reformat. People have said they have burnt it to dvd ok. Someone said you can point the fresh install to the downloader on your pc and it will get the cd key.
Has anyone though managed to re-install it after a format without having to re-download it?Comment

Re: Ooops Reformatted!!
I just bought a new HD & I did it. This is what you do. You will need a DVD burner or if you have a Slave HD connected. Before you reformat, copy to the other HD or burn it to disk the whole BF2 folder in MY DOCUMENTS(This contains all your key bind configs & stuff. Then you copy the entire ELECTRONIC ARTS folder from the c:/program files (this contains the SFpack). What I did was after I got all the windows SP's installed & the direct X 9.0c, current vid drivers, I installed BF2. Then I put in the 1.03 patch. After that I copied the MY DOC folder back where it goes & then the EA folder in the Program files. Then I reinstalled the Downloader. When you do this it will ask you for your user name & password. (I hope you remember it lol) Once you are logged in, it will bring up the screen like you got when you first dl'ed it, instead, this time it will have the button that says "Install Now" instead of DL Now. Click install now & youre good to go. After its done, install the 1.12 patch & youre there.Comment
