I think it is best to unlock weapon for your favorite kit. I am playing support a lot and my first unlock was MG36. Quite a nice gun :) Also I am playing engineer a lot so probably my next unlock will be MP7. But I really recommend to try all weapons in BF2SF then to make decision and choose gun that will be most useful for your style of play.
