Water sprites

When i shoot the water with a gun there is no sprite for when the bullets hit the water, when the water sprays up, it used to work b4 the new patch but now it doesnt. anyone got any ideas how i can get this back. cheers

You can't, it was a "feature" of the new patch.

My water sprays up when I hit it with bullets dont know what you guys are talking about it. And I also think when the artillery hits the water it's pretty damn cool looking.

Same here.
It worked perfectly for all guns before 1.12 though.. Hopefully DICE has fixed it for 1.2.

My guns still make splashes, are you sure you didn't turn your effects down? Or maybe the patch turned them down and you have to change it back?

nah i got all settings on medium and up, i got spec forces mod too i dno if they turned it off or not, is the new patch coming out soon? i want water sprites =( looks cool hehe

How have you tested it? On the same map, and same body of water?

Try differenet maps, maybe on other maps it behaves differently.

I have everything on high and still don't see them.

there was a simliar thread a few weeks aago, but i think it just doesnt work for special forces...but in orig bf2..u can see splaashs..i can see it on medium effects

Are we just talking about splashes here? because I get splash from everything I shoot at water. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are talking about.
