I really cant understand why people are saying "dont get SF" and "its not worth it" etc etc. I think these are the poeple who were saying, "boycot SF"... before it had even been released?!?

Its SO much better than BF2. I mean, its faster, harder.. more action packed.

Yes it is a little laggy in places if your pc is average.
Yes it could do with a patch
Yes you can unlock the SF weapons in BF2 via a friend

BUT

No, you dont have to drive 10minutes to get 1 kill
No, everyone isnt waiting on a helipad for the next chopper (well except iron gator)
No, there isnt anyone dropping bombs on anything that moves

If you like Karkland, you'll love SF.

I have to agree that SF doesnt look as pretty as BF2 but if you want to play a fast FPS'er then its gotta be SF... if you'd rather fly around admiring the scenery, go BF2.

Completely agree. I'm convinced that most of the guys on here complaining never even owned BF2 (much less SF) or stopped playing it months ago.

Their hatred for EA is such that they simply cannot handle the fact that thousands of players are out there playing and enjoying these games.

I agree with everyone!! SF is awesome. I think people lost their way in BF2....all they ever do in vehicle Wh0re the whole time!! There's rarely any infantry combat in BF2.....But SF.....it's got it all!! I agree it could use a patch, but it does not deter me from playing SF AT ALL!!!

I got Special Forces a little while after it came out and I've played it maybe 15 times. I have a pretty decent computer too so its not because of lag, but I still prefer vanilla BF2. Maybe I just need to spend a little more time on it or maybe its just an acquired taste?

If you wish BF2 had less (or no) vehicles, then SF is worth it.

Its all down to personal taste, I think BF2 is great... but SF is better.. but its just my opinion..

My rant is that ppl come on the SF forum, slate it then go.

SF is excellent and my ranked server is rammed every night so it cant be that bad

It is SO an acquired taste...but it's way better. It takes a little longer t learn the maps, but it's worth it.

On a side note, if you love Karkand...you'll love Karkand 2. See TotalBf2 map pack 2...by far the best map I've seen...it's better than ghost town and warlord.

I enjoy ghost and warlord quite a lot. AT rocks on Warlord (stick to the corners with a medic, blast Brits in technicals with the AT rounds, blast the soldierswith the DAO-12, hit the close quarters combat with the shotty in the main building...)

Spec ops is fun on ghost--you can get to the enemy base on a jet ski in ~30seconds, blow up some assets, shoot some turkeys, and steal their apc/tank or whatnot. Lather, rinse, repeat. Assault is also fun on this map. One noob toob (boats and jet ski's make such a wonderful sound when they go boom out in the water) and a decent commander who'll keep you resupplied, and the Spetz will never get back on their arty island (64p).

...Unless the enemy chopper hookers are very, very good.

And yes, the reason I like it's SF is that it's like Karkand (or karkland, or kirkland's, or K-fed...)

...on 'roids. Fast, furious, lots of targets, but fewer moving ones whenever I finally verify client data!

Gameplay-wise, the only problem is that the assault, at, and spec ops classes have gotten so well-developed in SF that their are fewer and fewer medic hookers running around, meaning that you can't walk around a single corner all game long without hearing some guy crying for his little pony--"Starlight, to me"
