You own legal copies of BF2 and Special Forces?

    Did you lose Disc 1?

If so, you can still play..just use a mounted mini-image.

You just won't be able to re-install it without Disc 1.

Bypassing copy protection is not condoned here...so you won't get many direct links or tutorials on these forums

You can copy the copy protection part of the game to a file and 'mount' this on a 'virtual disk drive' so that your PC thinks that the BF2 cd is always inserted.

You need to get the mini-image (or make one if you had Disc 1) and a program to create virtual drives. It's an image *of* a cd, but nothing that you burn.

It won't get anybody into any trouble

I've been doing it for YEARS (probably since the first virtual CD program was created)!

Indeed it won't get anyone in trouble. It's kindo of a gray area because it's related to ***** cracks which do the same thing (let you play the game without the cd) but work differently.
A ***** crack is often associated with a copied (warez) version and it's freom here I guess that mini-images get their bad rep.
