    The Perfect Team

I often change roles depending on what my team needs at the time. but i would LOVE to see people other than me do this.. (it just never seems to happen on a pub)

lets say you have 25 peeps on avg.

1 commander who actively commands from a secluded spot. Either as engineer or spec ops. (1 to repair his crap or the other to hide)

4 squads of at least 4 people. Each squad with at least one medic and one supply. the other two peeps can be whatever because in my mind if you had everyone working together it wouldn't matter as much if the other two were AT or assault or whatever.

maximum of 1 or 2 snipers.

1 dedicated spec ops to terrorize other sides assets and commander
1 dedicated engineer to guard/fix your sides assets.

the last 4 or more could create a small strike squad that could either supplement whatever squad is facing the most enemy.. or be what I refer to as the "flanker" squad. their main goal in life being to get to that one flag where no one else is as fast as possible to cap it as fast as possible and move to next one. I often play this role. I will see everyone else fighting over one main area so me and my one or two squad members will rush past everyone normally in a jeep or something straight to the farthest enemy flag.

ok.. what am i missing or what did i not think of?

    An air force ...

That honestly sounds pretty much like 21cw battleday.

Yeah...I would LOVE it if a commander could suggest loadout kits and people could choose whether or not to accep them.

After all, the commander can see what kids are needed and where the easiest.

BUT...since we play in a game of n00b t00bers, C4 chuckers, and jet wh0res, that ain't gonna happen

Yeah I go and play as AT most of the time to protect myself and squad mates from tanks, apc, etc. I can be a medic and I do medic real well but I have to try to save more people every round and I turn out to be a suicide medic. I can't control it. I be spec ops when assets need to be destroyed or if I go to there place with planes and vehicle whores hang out and I just put c4 on everything and wait for the kills. When I get my next rank and I get my PKM then I will start being support alot more.

The perfect team would be an AT, a medic, a support, an engineer with a blackhawk and grab flag while the commander sets orders to defend the flag. If you just want a strike force then an AT, an engineer, a medic, a support, a sniper, and a spec ops. Blow up planes and commander assets and the medic heals anyone while support resupplies the spec ops and the AT and sniper watches out while this happens.

            true.

I kinda assume that was covered in the 4 squads.

I guess it would help to say.. dedicated people to fly whatever aircraft for whatever map you happen to be on. (except the transport choppers which don't need dedication) what i mean by dedicated is.. saying.. ok.. THIS guy is our J-10 pilot. so everyone else.. back to the front..stop camping the airfield. (you will do what i say.. when i say.. back to the front.. you will die when i say you must die..you coward..you servant.. you blindman.. sorry.. distracted by the inadvertant Metallica lyrics there for a second)

In principle bf2 could be really awesome for team play but the trouble is getting people to do it.

I often end up in a squad that works together reallt well and changes classes as needed and its really good and it certainly gives you a warm glow when you hear the commander say 'you the finest squad i ever set eyes on'.

But behond that i cant see it happening. The only way it could is if you had a LAN party.

              Imagine this:-

2 large rooms in a liesure centre or whatever 32 people in each room.

At the front the commander plays on a big plasma screen the rest of the team can see.

Before the match the commander organises which squads will do what.

Additionally you would have large breasted blonde birds giving out ice cold cans of stella and a bong next to each player!
