    Watchout for immature admins

Today I was playing on BBF-1 server. I was testing out a new tactic called commander assassination, by constantly killing their commander to disrupts their teamwork. However I do not want to kill anyone else in order to keep things secret.

As a result, I begin request my commander to identify the enemy commander. (ironically i was playing WITH the BBF clan members, so i was killing random people, not one of their member). However, BBF armendilo immdiately proceeded to call me a loser. and then I was kicked.

Not for bunnyhopping, nade spaming, nor armor whoring, but for the notion of killing a specific player, i was kicked.

    wow.

Thats what admins do, thats why they ask their mommy for money so they can pay for the server, to be able to put their whines to action rather than smack talk on public servers

There are other servers, get over it....and if you want to test new tactic, just go to EA official servers
Oh wait, then you cant assasinate commander, since theres either no commander or the commander is in a jet.

if killing a specific player makes one a loser, I doubt about the value of that server's existence.

          This is not a flame <-Sad that I even have to say that these days!;

As a Ranked Server Owner, I personally don't like hearing of other admins ruining the game and enjoyment of others with their childish behaviour. But what I don't like even more is reading about it in a public forum such as this.

If one of my admins were being an arse and pulling this kinda stuff, I would want and expect the upset party or parties to inform me of such behaviour on our clan website forums rather than in places like here.

Sure some clans or Admins may get into a flame war with you in the clan forums but I for one would at least investigate the situation, read the daemon logs, read the chat logs, talk to the admin and form an opinion on the situation. If I felt the admin was wrong, they would be informed as such and worse case, I would remove their admin abilities.

How can we expect the community to get any better if we aren't informing them on their turf? Quite possibly, the person shelling out the money for that particular server wasn't the admin that booted ya. Let the clan handle it internally and if they are losers about a wrongful kick/ban, then saddly they shouldn't have a server but they do. At least there are plenty of other servers available

            That's surely commendable.
Sadly, very few server owners think like that, and so most clanservers are quickly degrading into kindergarten playing pens for toddlers who need to boost their self-esteem by coming up with as many bullsheet rules as possible ("don't basecamp, don't vehicle whore, don't camp in the trees, don't mutiny clanmember commanders even if they suck horribly, don't shoot planes with TOW or choppers with Tank shells, don't use mines, don't use knives, don't...") or making them up as they go along ("STRICTLY NO KILLING OF CLANMEMBERS!") to ensure they end up with the score they desire.

Its unfortunate that you and so many others are playing and finding such servers. For as long as the game has been out, I typically only play on my server and haven't been fully exposed to these "suspect rules".

I let anything go on our server except for racial slurrs and repeat offenders who teamkill for vehicles. Other than that, its fair game. I don't personally like to spawn camp the uncappables but on the flip side, if me and my team are beaten back to my uncappable and getting raped, so be it, we deserved it. Its part of the game.

I won't lie to you and say that all my admins are angels. I have routinely given them verbal abuse for being dickheads with the admin tools. This is also why only the higher ranked members(not game rank) in our clan are able to ban people. The lower ranked members can kick, but can no longer ban.

                Re: Watchout for immature admins

usually immature admins are on servers where bunny hopping is not allowed.

might aswell give a warning about the multiplay.co.uk [ES] karkand server.

they kick anyone that is better than them with the excuse of "bunny hopping" (even if u just jump over something or to throw a grenade or medpack or mines)

Not to throw a wet towel on your rant, but what gives you the right to stalk another player and ruin all his fun?

As people say, this is just a game; it is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, not just you. You're counter to that might be that what you did was just a good, strategic tactic, but so is stealing their armor and then driving to the edge of the map and just sitting there the rest of the round. (It self-destructs after a while if you abandon it.) Of course, that would be no fun for you, so it's not such an appealing tactic I guess.

My point is that regardless of the support you seem to have in this thread, I personally feel that stalking someone, even the commander, is poor sportsmanship, and you deserved to be kicked.

I have encountered many admins who kick for no reason, or just because they don't like you, you kill them, you kill there friend, you take there vehicle, you are going to get gold star, ....

Unless you play on a good ranked server like Team Wonderful's 64 player. I know that if I ever saw something like that on a [TW] server the mod would be gone. Why? Its immature yes but it also breaks the ranked server agreement.

                        To thread starter:

Were you in a ranked server?

Yeah, there are some terrible admins out there. Check out Blood-Gaming {B}. They teamkill people on purpose and ban people who punish them. I'm not talking accidental kills, I mean serious teamkilling....ie blowing up friendly vehicles.

Thats why EA/DICE needs to have mystery players. Like mystery shoppers (for quality control). You go and play on a server and report back to them. Most of the time you would just surf the ranked server list, sometimes you would get sent to certin servers to check a complaint. I think you get the Idea.

As far as Hunting a certin player, I know its a skill by itself. Ive played many games where I spent a large part of the game hunting the highest scoreing enemy player from last round. Ive never tried to hunt the comander though. I dont see anything wrong with it as it can be a learning experience for me (great fun as well). I even started a thread about it once and told some of how I do It. I would be willing to bet that most players have been killed and then come back looking to kill (hunting) the guy that killed them. I know I do. . . . . . .Red
