I know that BF2 isn't accurate at all. However, an M203 round will not detonate that close to the shooter. The launching tube is rifled so that the round is spun. It was designed like that because the round itself arms after a certain number of revolutions. I don't remember exactly how many, but I do know it takes the minimum safe distance to arm. I do not know about the other nation's weapons though. Anyway, just throwing that into the EA and Dice are total experts on warfare bin.....rofl..I'm just being an A-hole...
