W00t!!!11!! No more crashes!!!
I'm using a Radeon 9800 pro and the game would randomly crash to a black screen no matter what I did/adjusted/reinstalled.
Following the advice of a fellow poster, I downloaded the latest Omega Drivers and made sure Fast Write was set to "off" and reduced my AGP setting from "8" to "4" from the display settings (not Bios). I've run the game for HOURS without a single issue....thank God.
This would have probably worked with Catalyst as well but I just wanted to follow his example to the letter and it worked like a charm.
I can now return to the world of Jet Whores, Chopper Whores, Whiny Admins, and Tk'ers, Bunny Hoppers, Dolphin Divers, and Noob Tubers lol
