Noobtube is the grenade laucher, and there are people that jump and shoot is at their feet (and your´s).

That is annoynig because people that jump a lot are very difficult to hit (code bug i think) and it requires almost no skill to kill an opponent at point blank range.

Its not difficult to hit someone who jumps up at all. The problem is that it takes say around 5-6 hits to kill them, whereas they just need to press fire and aim the nade at your feet. So even if you've managed to get some shots off, the grenade has already exploded, thus you die.

Thats why I find noobtubing irritating. As if they used their gun to shoot me at that close quarter they would lose - most of the time. So I feel its a cheap talentless kill as I've managed to hit them in full auto with my submachine gun on virtually every shot, but bam, Im dead.

Also, there is no coding issue when people bunnyhop. You just lead their jump or aim mid-air. The real issue is with prone-hopping (dolphin diving). I really wish people would not get these confused! They are a completely different problem and one that is 10 times more tricky due to their increased accuracy (by going prone). And the real coding issue where they appear to move from the ground to mid-air while proning making it hard to hit them.

Normally i don´t have any problems with this because I wait till the other guy is almost on the ground and noobtube him, but yesterday I emptied a barrel do Dao-12 in a guy at point blank, he was unaware of me in the first shot, but he started to jump and I didn´t kill him, I thought it was the code bug :) , maybe, instead i was having a bad day.

With all multiplayer games, the hit boxes are in front of the enemies direction of travel (to account for bullet travel time and ping). There was good video showing this in CSS somewhere. Due to processing issues these are blocky in shape and are not the correct shape of the soldier's model.

I dont seem to have any trouble shooting someone with my poxy MP5/PP19 if they are jumping, or mid-jump travelling left or right. I just aim a certain distance in front of their direction of travel, concentrating on where their chest will be. As this is usually up close I have it on full auto and just spray, I also strafe somewhat randomly left then suddenly right while trying to lead their image... I usually win unless they headshot me, im injured, they noob-tube me, or they have a DA012 and spam shells at me.

But ping is crucial. If your ping was irratic or abnormally high, then what you see is not what the server sees, or indeed a player with a lower ping. The other day my ping jumped from 20 to 400 rather erratically. On my screen I was stood still and fired a rocket at my damaged stationary tank. My rocket went right through the tank, because in fact, I was facing a totally different direction. I was then owned by someone who didnt realise that if my ping was 20, I would have owned him.

i agree i think its silly, unrealistic and childlike when people go round bunnyhopping and dolphin diving with c4, although i think the new patch will help.

by the way does anyone know if u will be able to jump and throw grenades - so they go further?

Ok, here is a guy that is a bunnyhopper and uses c4 :) ...ya great skill, just drop a c4 at a junction and wait for someone to pass and press a button...realy hard...ooooooooooooooooooooo.

Not that i have anything to say for the regular C4 spammers but ... yes.. it is hard to stay alive long enough to get someone to come across your C4. Anyways it's hardly a tactic that will get you in the top7 of the round... For every tactic theres a tactic to counter it.

By the way A bunnyhopping C4 guy doesn't "jump and wait" like u said...
It just ****es ppl off just like noobtubers coz the "victim" dies instantly and they get the feeling they didn't even have a chance to defend themselves, and also because (expecially with c4) even the killer gets himself dead in the process...

My main point is: There's just a few places where bunnyhopping with c4 is worthwhile (like 64/64 karkand maybe) and even in those places ppl should learn to counter this tactic after getting blown up a couple of times. So most of the time i see someone doing this "for a living", i mostly pity him

Nice tip, thanks :p , i´ll try it later, maybe my accuracy will get a little better than 16.5% with an assault weapon.

I must stress that they are just in front of the enemy. If they are sprinting then the hit boxes are further in front due to the enemy's increased speed.. Distance means increased bullet travel time too, obviously!

c4 is very fun to use, and no i do not depend on it to survive I do it for fun. maybe u should try it. and since when has bf2 been realistic

I don´t know why they call GL noobtube, I think unless you´re shooting at your feet noobtubes still requires a little expertise, the really annoying combination is c4 and bunnyhopping, and what is worse is that it isn´t used by noobs.

Yesterday I was playing the Karkand Map and enjoying it, when a guy named something braveheart spoiled all my fun.
The only thing that this guy was doing was jumping allover the place and droping c4...and killed everyone in it´s blast radius...sometimes even himself.

It was the first time I really got #%%%## playing this game. The only thing I saw was something passing through me Jumping and then the omnious message Braveheart has killed you with c4....ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Of course when his supply of C4 was depleted he couldn´t shoot a building...so he died and returned with more C4....

Maybe he was after the explosives badge. Every time people play to get certain badge or ribbon they must do things that they don't enjoy. I'm sure the didn't want to kill himself, but if killing himself along with 2 more enemies with c4 will get him closer to the explosives badge, why the hell not?
