To the dude with the bouncy c4, the answer is claymores. spawn as a sniper and head to where he hides. drop a few of them there and see what happens when a happy skipping c-4 maniac trips one. Yes, you may die, but it's well worth it. eventually he will get tired of trading single kills and will either go somewhere else or he'll switch to another annoying tactic.

Why the hell didn´t I remember that.... He was allways running around in the same places, a good claymore sould have solved the problem... thanks for the tip

The Admin was stupid for kicking you, but do you really think that using c4 to kill infantary is more realistic than using a grenade launcher? Try telling that to the armed forces.

Now I use less the noobtube, but the best killings I managed were from shooting my tube from afar...A week ago I was on top of a building with several other players and they weren´t beliving that I could kill people that were running at full speed from such distances. Several of them congratulated me, some of the grenades only hited the other players several seconds after release.

Yes using C-4 to kill enemy is more realistic than the tube. I was in the armed forces, the Marines for 6 years. I attended 3 demolitions courses, an din these courses we were taught how to make improvised antipersonnel explosives. Now we weren't taught to run around and bunnyhop throwing 1lb C-4 charges. Essentially these explosives we made were designed for for ambush situations. Much like Hawkings mines or Claymores.
I also fired 100's of 40mm M203 rounds, at the range mostly, and I experienced the ECR of an HEDP round, 15meters usually, ondry terrain.
I was a Mortarman by trade (0341) and later an AMLC instructor (Advanced Mortar Leaders Course) at 2nd MARDIV School of Infantry. I am intimately familiar with the nature of explosive ordnance. It is time for EA to crank up the realism of the weapons in the game. The C4 carried by the Spec Ops looks like about 5 or 6 pounds or so, so it shouldn't take more than 1 charge to destroy anything in the game. It is also highly improbable that a soldier would carry 25 to 30 pounds of C4 in addition to all of the other gear they carry.
They need to bring the Maortar back to the game. It would be cool if the cmdr could call in mortars, the mortar crew would setup and drop rounds on the target.
My last gripe is the .50 Barrett. 1 shot should kill, no questions asked. I should be able to shoot someone at 300m with zero bullet drop and drop the target. The .50 should also be able to defeat the LAV and BTR. Loaded with HEI rounds, the .50 will penetrate the aluminum hull of all of the APC's in this game. Shots to the rotor hub or tail rotor assembly of the Blackhawk and MI-8 should also bring it down.
Tires should also be effected by small arms (trucks and jeeps) most wheeled APC's have solid run flats.
Tank tracks should also be succeptible to damage from .50 HMG and Grenades.

At some point in time, all you complainers will eventually realize that this is a game and not meant to be 100% realistic. If you want realism, find another game.

noob tubers are more plentiful and kill me more often then c4 whores (I HATE ALL OF THEM!!!). It drives me crazy when in cramped buildings and otherwise fun city maps, people fight with noobtubes only-no fun at all. Wished they put an arming distance on them so they would be used properly. The new patch will fix c4 whoring, as you cant "chuck" c4 without jumping, but won't improve the noobtubing situation too much.

Ok, here is a guy that is a bunnyhopper and uses c4 :) ...ya great skill, just drop a c4 at a junction and wait for someone to pass and press a button...realy hard...ooooooooooooooooooooo.

Why do you say that c4 is a good tatic and noobtube not? You don´t need to have any kind of skill in throwing bags to the ground. The only skill that is required is in timing the jumps and running away from the blast.

By the way...I think most people in this thread thinks I am a noob, by the way I have a K/D ratio of 1.86 playing assault infantary, not very good but not very bad.

1.86 when using ASSAULT is not very good, unless u don't use the noobtube at all lol. Anyways, the C4 is harder to use, i see people in CQC using the noobtube that don't even jump at all when they shoot, they just shoot at point blank, clicking the mouse is easier than laying a C4 trap. A Claymore would actually be a better C4 trap, the reason, cause after u lay the claymore, u don't have to watch the trap to see anybody pass by, in other words, u don't have to stay alive until an enemy comes by. Anyways, C4 is actually harder than u think, why odn't u try C4 whoring, it's a lot harder, when u are using C4 in CQC, u gotta switch to the trigger from the C4 FAST, and that's hard, since there's a glitch, when u press right mouse button to switch, it doesn't switch, and when u try to blow the enemy up, u just lay another C4 block. Not so easy, eh? I tried C4 whoring, it's hard, u gotta time it right and all, for the noobtube, all u do is click the mouse when the enemy is in range, C4 whoring requires stealth, plus, if none of ur team could kill a bunnyhopper laying C4 all over the place, that's pathetic. Taking a bunnyhoper down is easy, especially when they don't got a noobtube, and especialy with assault rifles or a LMG.

Gah, I'd take ANYTHING "cheap" over a bunny hopping c4er. The worst I ever say to a n00b tuber is "tube that" after I kill him. I'm a little less comfortable with spawn campers. But this no doubt teaters over the brink of a true exploit. I've tried using c4 quickly, but, every instance I can recall, if I don't wait a year or two before switching to the detonator, right click (switching to the detonator) just causes me to throw another c4. It seems to work a lot better in single player, so my guess is you need a super ping to do it. Great, Mr. 1337, you live close to a BF2 server and now you are able to "own" everyone. You must be so proud of your dumb luck.

EDIT: And I know they are not using the "last c4" trick most of the time.

C4 was NOT meant to be used this way. People exploit it because it is the most powerful weapon in the infantry arsenal and it takes no skill/aim to use. It appeals to the lowest common denominator.

Once a few morons figured out how to do it...all of the OTHER morons said to themselves 'HEY! I can do that too!'...then came to the forums in search of info on how to do it.

I shouldn´t mention this because I don´t use my real nickname in here, but i saw one of your favorite kits is spec ops, thanks a lot you´re not a c4 whore .

And I use the noob tube a lot, but not the way people complain, I almost never jump, and when i am face to face allways change to machine gun fire (you can kill more people this way).
Noobtube is really good to shoot at a group of people at distance, then when you´re close you mop up.

The only time I jump and shoot a noobtube is in Wake Island, to get a better angle, the terrain isn´t smooth and if you miss, the grenade tend to get far away and you could harm your team mates.

Abaut the c4, I don´t complain if it is used like a trap, I justo don´t like being owned by a guy that appears from nowhere, drops c4 and kills me, somtimes dying in the process.
He just needs to wait for someone to drop by and it is a sure death.
