Just built a new rig... Opteron 148, 2gigs RAM, 7800GT. Game doesn't run smooth, and gets worst on the larger 64 player servers. On smaller 32 player servers, it is decent, but gets a lot more worst in the larger ones. All BF2 video settings are on Med, and I have tried using the tweak guides, and they did nothing. Is my system topped out, or is there a problem? I play on my laptop, a Centrino 1.6, 512mb, ATI 128mb video card, with all BF2 video settings on low in the same servers and it runs a lot smoother, but has lower picture quality of course.
I haven't tried adjusting the BF2 video settings to low, but I didn't spend the cash on this gaming computer to play on low video settings!
