    Where are Noob resources?

Where can I go to get info that was not covered in the game booklet (which is just about everything)...things like what keys give what voice commands, how do I spot and alert my team of enemy, how do I get back into a single player game when I'm taken to main screen etc.

Also, I unlocked the engineer's auto shotgun and used it for a couple of maps. Now when I go into a map...single or multi I'm back with the pump shotgun. The engineer's class under my BFQ screen shows it unlocked but I can't access it on any screens.

Too bad there is not a Noob 101 course.

For rewards and those things go here. ( http://bf2s.com/ ) just click on UBAR, you can also look up your stats and friends stats there.
As for the how to do questions, just listen to what that annoying voice says when you start the game. Because if you dont know how to do things than he actually helps you. Hope that info helps you in your bf2 time and welcome to the forums. :)

Let's help the poor guy instead of starting a flame war :) As for your question, I think you should post in the support forum.

                Re: Where are Noob resources?

Ya know... this is really a chronic problem and does point to a design flaw.

The game teaches you to be a noob. Ya can move, you can shoot, you can get yourself killed, and you can crash things in interesting noobish ways.

There really should have been a full single player tutorial, complete with hint and tips.

Bah... they just wanna sell "guides".

Anyway, sniff around these threads. Use the search function. Try advanced search, title only, and the word "noob". That should bring up all sorts of interesting results!
If you simply can't find any answers, then ask.
We try to be a helpful bunch.

                  Re: Where are Noob resources?

Thanks to all who provided the constructive replies. Already picked up some useful info from the responses/links provided (such as mapping the middle mouse key to prone). Just worried what I have displaced out of my brain housing group for the good stuff i just got.

I'm sure down the road I'll look back and say...Man I can't believe I asked such stupid questions. Maybe my stupid questions will help another Noob.

                    Re: Where are Noob resources?

Have a look at these, I'm not vouching for how much help they will give you as i have been playing BF2 from the start and haven't really needed resources like these, so i haven't read them. But they should be of some use. IGN are usually pretty good with this stuff.

Also there is a best tips and tricks thread just a little further down the list

                        Re: Where are Noob resources?

Seeing as we are on the subject. Hoganflagle, i would class you as a newb not a noob.

Noob is meant as an offensive term towards someone who is not nessaceraly new, and quite often is directed at someone that is |somewhat| experienced but at the same time stupid/disruptive and/or totally incapable of learning.

A noob is almost always someone who thinks they're cool but obviously aren't.

Only one Noob has posted on your thread so far and it's not you dude.

Newb is not meant to be offensive. newb merely states that the person in question is new to the game/board/whatever.

We oughta just write one - I bet we could cover all of the relevant stuff in under 10 pages, including diagrams.
