    Joystick Questions

Hey guys just a quick question.

When using a joystick, how to you roate the plane/heli? because the A and D keys do it on the keyboard, and i'm guessing to tilt the aircraft, like you do with the mouse, you use the joystick?

Can some one clear this up for me?

Also, which are the better joysticks for flying? I searched the forums but i'm still not sure.

    Thanks.

    Re: Joystick Questions

Most sticks (the better ones at least) have a side to side axis that will rotate the aircraft.

Saitek Cyborg Evo is a very good and popular stick.

Ive only just got a flightstick myself and to be honest with you no way id fly a heli with a flightstick im far better just useing the keyboard. But with planes it makes a huge difference on my stick ive got buttons on the base and i use them to turn the plane left and right and use the main stick to tilt sideways and forward and back. Its all about the way you want it setup just try different configs and see what works for you.

I fly very well using a joystick when I'm using a helicopter, I prefer to fly in the aircraft as helis arnt my cup of tea.

Thats the problem i had when getting my stick i had to chose did i want yaw or did i want throttle controll. I went for throttle control instead and it works out just fine i have my left hand on the base controlling my throttle yaw afterburners and flares and my right hand controlling the stick. Im well happy with it for only £10 it was bargin incase anyones intrested it was from a shop in the UK called game www.game.co.uk is there website but they dont have the stick on there There all over the northwest as far as i know (the shops i mean).
