I know someone that is pretty dedicated to sniping. I use to play Planetside with him. He was in my old outfit and we were both decent snipers. I don't do much sniping in BF2, but he does...check out Chet's stats.

They are not the greatest, but I can promise you on certain maps, he'll go all round no deaths and have like 20+ kills. :laugh: I hate it when we play on oppisite sides and when we play Kubra Dam...OMG...he kicks my arse. He knows so many good places to snipe from on the map.

haha yeah sure. BTW, just wonder what tactics you guys use? ex: camping bases, camping enemy routes?

I usually get in a squad in Daqing and just follow people that are going to cap the flags and camp on the perimeter of it and wait for the people to cap it. Sometimes we have 1 assault and 1 sniper and camp at the enemys main base. I know alot of people say this is cheap, but isnt this what real snipers do? And we usually camp from far distances with the M95, so I think its fair. Snipers in real life camp outside of enemy bases and pick them off dont they?

Your not wrong there mate, yes they do do that but not always with a M95, the M95 is specificly for guarding air fields most of the time but yes they are being used in Iraq for very long distances etc as most of you other snipers know. Snipers are also suppost to do reconasense and taking out requested specific targets.

lol yes, thank you! Everytime my friend and I camp the bases they all flame us for being n00b base-campers, I would understand if I were doing it with an Assault kit or in a tank, but I honestly think since we have a long distance rifle with a low ROF, we should be able to camp bases.

Hi, I'm a weekend warrior (playing only on weekends if that wasn't obvious enough). I play sniper most of the time, more then twice any other kit I've played. My rifles are the m24 when playing USMC and M95 when playing MEC or PLA. Can't wait for the new sniper unlock.

I play sniper occasionally and I just got my vet sniper combat badge in BF2 and SF on Mass Destruction. I went 22-4 (no vehicles), but my ratio is only 1.80. Oh yeah that with the SVD.

Two great sniping spots that I use are:

Sharqi Peninsula - as MEC run up the hill near the middle starting base. Raise your head on the left side about halfway up the hills (not at the top). I can only usually get 8 or 9 people in a row before they start hunting me.

Mass Destruction - as Spetsnaz go near the first cappable flag to the rock on the right side and peak out on its right and you will see all the Rebels swarming out from the closest flag across the bridge. I got 17 in a row yesterday. Nothing touches the SVD .

I got punted today for 1 min from a Internode server, because I had a Sniper team including my self operating around there air field, and I got punted because I shot a dude that used to be in my clan , and he said jesus you are sh*** i thought youd have better skill. He then went and got a admin and I as soon as I got punted it said I was kicked for using a vechile for attacking a uncapable spawn point pffffffffff, WTF I WASNT USING A VECHILE.

Does using the G36C counts at sniper?
The gun does the same job, only better at it with rapid firing.

:laugh: Me too. I put it is single shot and go to town. Love it. I use to play mostly assault. Then I kept getting taken out by others that were using the G36, so I decided to try it. I'm in love. That is without a doubt the single best sniper rifle in the game. :p

i just got my m95 today and i love it dont know why ppl say its so inaccurate **** i hit ever thing i shot at sometime i even killed ppl on oman from the constuc site crane to the beach front flags. I use sniper kit as my secondary im mostly a spec ops kind of guy but i love picking out a good spot and getting sum headshots

I think that the m24 is way more accurate than the m95.

i agree only m95 for i took out 7 heli last night on one round got best air defence lmao the gun is a beast m24 is a bit mor accurate at extreme distance but its still possible with the m95 just the crosshair can make it hard somtimes
