You know, in real life you cant go without snipers but they're not really a great support for the team ingame you know... i mean you'd be better of taking a support weapon and sit on a roof you know... just my opinion :P

hehe my favorite target an asssult infantary making lots of noise prone on a roof banging out bulllits aim for the eye 1 shot 1 kill,but i supose it can be affective but also vunrable (so are snipers)
my tip for snipers that use the loud m95 is wait(if u can)for a explosion or somthing loud(plane flying over)to disguise your'e firing sound

cheers for pointing out that leaderboard on BFHQ, only ever looked at the general one before, i'm right up at number 348 for the sniper kit, although it would be better if you could see a leaderboard based on just the sniper rifle and not all kills whilst being sniper class, most of the players with really high kills as sniper seem to have been using vehicles to get them.

cheers for pointing out that leaderboard on BFHQ, only ever looked at the general one before, i'm right up at number 348 for the sniper kit, although it would be better if you could see a leaderboard based on just the sniper rifle and not all kills whilst being sniper class, most of the players with really high kills as sniper seem to have been using vehicles to get them.

Check the sniper rifle leaderboard - it's under Kit Equipment. Of course, it excludes kills that you get with your pistol, claymores and grenades, but it's better than nothing.

i might just being abit thick (which is a definate possibility), but doesn't that also include the kills that you get when you're sniper class in a plane or a tank for example, because when you look at the top snipers stats, and then at the number of sniper rifle kills they have like 20,000 kills but only like 1,000 sniper rifle kills.

Sniper leaderboard shows kills as a Sniper (which includes in a plane, etc,) and the Sniper Rifle leaderboard shows kills using the actual sniper rifle, and nothing else.

The only thing about the leaderboard is that it to me is more of a reflection of how much you play...which cause of the real world, I don't get to play as much as I'd like, but that is life...

Anyway, I think my stats are pretty on par, like playing the sniper and am stoked about the new patch...

Spent waaaaay to much time in the beginning using the SVD (tons of shots, not alot of hits), but my accuracy has been slowly climbing over time...

I mostly play sniper class, but my stats are sh##y oh well I try and I have fun after all it is just a game.

I've gotten really into sniper lately. I used to suck, but then I played other kits and came back to the sniper and got really good with it. My stats aren't the greatest because of the older days, but now I average a good 25-2 K/D ratio per game since the past couple of weeks. I've really dug deep into it the kit and learned to perfect it and I actually haven't found any sniper better than me, although I know there are plenty.

haha yeah sure. BTW, just wonder what tactics you guys use? ex: camping bases, camping enemy routes?

I usually get in a squad in Daqing and just follow people that are going to cap the flags and camp on the perimeter of it and wait for the people to cap it. Sometimes we have 1 assault and 1 sniper and camp at the enemys main base. I know alot of people say this is cheap, but isnt this what real snipers do? And we usually camp from far distances with the M95, so I think its fair. Snipers in real life camp outside of enemy bases and pick them off dont they?
