Help PLEASE!!!!...crash problem!!

Hi all, I'm another fanatic of this game (BF2) and I just got the Special Forces expansion....I installed and all but the problem is that when I start it, the screen goes black and then it goes back to desktop......anyone else has this problem???........what should I do???

(it isnt a PC ptoblem because I use o play BF2 great qith my ATHLON AMD 64 3.7, 1.024 ram, 600 gb on disck and 512 video card ((on the supported card list)).....)

I'm not trying to be a d!ck but maybe you should post help related topics in the "Help/Support" section. Someone would have probably looked at this sooner. That is why that particular thread is there.

try turning down the video card to 256. worked for me.

also change the target on the shortcut and change the fullscreen to 0 and see if there is a direct X error

I am having the same problem. I changed for it to load in window mode and i get a debug error.

ok I update BF2 to 1.12 and know i get a different error .. I think the other one is fixed. this is the other one.

whats your video card? if its a 2 year old nvidia it won't support direct X 9 so ull need a good nvidia or a radeon.

Delete your Battlefield 2 folder and start up the game again. You'll lose all your controls/video/sound/favorite server settings but you can back your old ones up and replace them later. Quick and easy fix...
