I'm getting pretty good with the PA shotguns, and the Chinese one is like one shot/one kill most of the time. I've also found that prone diving into their head often results in oneshot/onekill :laugh:

Anyway, i just played a round on wake a few minutes ago and managed to come out with the best score other than a really big plane whore and a tank whore.

I need to work on dying less as engineer though. I would often be near my mines to warn any oncoming teammates, when an enemy would hit them and id get a suicide.

I love being an engineer, got my veteran badge a month or so back.
The shot guns just kick ass at close range. :)

9 on 9? Owning with a shotgun is either a case of your extreme skill (which doesn't mean engi class is good) or more likely a case of your enemies' extreme noobishness..

And your score says nothing of whether or not you were in a plane...

EDIT: O your stats say you only have 4 plane kills...but still, that wasn't neccisarily a ranked server or maybe your stats haven't updated.

Or more likely you just killed a bunch of ppl with the assault rifle.

My point is not that im trying to prove you wrong, but a screenshot of the TAB screen doesn't mean anything as far as who killed who with what weps...

yep the pump action shotguns are the best shotguns in the game (for me atleast)

i could have got the engineer expert combat loads of times in karkand when i'm on the US side, to bad i can only get one :P

i'm around 200 on the shotgun leaderboard, allmost all of my shotgun are from the USMC shotgun, but i dont change sides just to play with it when i'm auto changed.

Wow, nice, a 37:17 K:d ratio, i can't get even 1:1 ratio. Anyways, i've seen better plane whores, once on dalian, i went like 50:3 as my k:d ratio, too easy with the J-10.

I can assure you the only air vehicle i stepped foot in on that entire map was the Sea Cow and that was to hop a ride to the arty island, where ill admit....i spawn camped for 3 kills until i got downed by a G36C.

I didnt plane whore at all, and my stats will be the same in 5 days on planes. I suck at them and dont use them. I DO use the attack choppers, but i didnt touch it in this game. I didnt use any armor. I think i had like 1 .50 cal kill from a jeep, that was it.

A good portion of my kills came from hiding in the tower at the airfeild and throwing mines out the window in front of buggies coming towards it. This one guy kept C4 Kamikazi'ing so i kept throwing mines in his face. I also spammed mines on about 3 tanks and got 1-2 kills for each of those.

I wouldnt come on here just to pretend i got that score with an engi kit. I did it using only what came in the engi kit (shotgun, mines, nades, wrench for the team points). I didnt even get a pistol kill because the chinese pistol sucks.

Oh if you check the server IP, youll see that it is Xtra Wake 24/7 RANKED server.

Yesterday we had a full squad with 1-2 engineers. It was great to have them fix vehicles (Gulf of Oman) and to fix our commander's assets (Kubra Dam). They were very willing and did a great job.

One time, one of squad mates was in an APC fighting another one while our Engineer was fixing him. Same thing happened as an AT guy on top of building (with a supply crate) was firing missiles at our APC!

I would play the class more, but too many idiots run over you mines and it's just not worth it.

The Chinese shotgun is one shot one kill, 90% of the time, so its quite effective... if you decide to use them.
The trouble is to get close the enemy, but then again, DAO is pretty effective, and you need 2 shots.

Plus it's just so satisfying to put a helping of pellets into the back of a hapless victim.
Not to mention how AT mines are one of the best weapons in the game. Unlike C4, they take care of themselves, and their destructive power is awesome. Plus they make for such satisfying kills.
You guessed it, I like playing engineer.

i got my vanilla bf2 and SF veteran engineer combat badge with the help of my jackhammer :). now to get 40 kills with it.. hmm...
