VoIP not working?

I have no idea why but it just wont work for me
when i try the sound test nothing shows up either

Make sure the line-in is un-muted in the control panel.

i checked that and it said its not muted

Will your microphone work with anything else?

Well? What was the problem, I'm having the same issues except mine wont work at all with BF2 but works fine with Sound Recoreder in Windows. I also cannot use the Sound Test Wizard, get the dvpsetup.exe error as usual.
