huge cd key problem

ok, i bought bf2 sep 05 that means i cant ask ea for a new key. I installed that 1.03 patch that encripts the key in the reg. I got a virus that screws up system restore any time before the installation of the patch. ea support is crap. I tried defraging the disk which screwed up the bf2 folder(every file name has _r behind it). the game is installed but it cant find atlastexturebuilder.dll or somthing like that and crashes. and when i asked the guy at best buy he told me to get a key gen which i find funny.

so im probably screwed but if there's somehow a way, please tell me:hmm:

What happened with the booklet that came with your game?

i lost it, i think its at my friend's house cause i searched my house like mad

did u try to get rid of the virus and then use system restore? what happens if u do?

the virus gone but it screwed up everything before nov 28, i can sys restore as long as its not before nov 28. if i try it does the restore but after the boot, the sys restore window tells me "restore failed, click home to select a new restore point".

Yeah, you're pretty much going to have to buy another copy to get another CD key.

EA will TRADE a compromised key for a new one..but since you cannot provide your old one, you cannot get a new one.
