I love the pump shotguns

well i've been stalking around this forumfor a long time and got sick of some people on the bf2s forums so here i am...


anyways i love the pumpshotgun of the engineer and if i didn't suck at the begining could probably have a 3:1 ration with it but i stupidly unlocked the MK3A1 instead of the G36 and now am wondering if i should unlock the MP7 or the L85A1...

I like the shotguns. The engy shotguns are all nice - including the Jackhammer.
My all time favorite is the DAO though :)

The pump-action shotgun rules. I love it.

Nothing better than sneaking up on someone and making them jump after you go BLAM! in their back, not to mention blowing them away or off a cliff!

It's fun, I played alot like an engineer yesterday on a inf-PCW. We met germans so I survived mostly. Like the S12K better though, I saved a flag once taking 3 people in a sec, literally. Too bad, I was the only one able to spawn and protect it so no one could witness my outstanding performance :S That would've never worked if I used the pump only, or even the noob-tube.

Pump shotty is the best weapon the engineer has...period.

I prefer pump shottys for close range single enemies. I prefer the jackhammer for close range multiple enemies. ANd i prefer the MP7 for anything beyond close range. But since i don't have the jackhammer or the MP7, i like to use the Saiga for close range multiple enemies, and the pistol for anything beyond close range.

I prefer the pump over any shotty. I have a really good k/d ratio with it and i rack up the kills on maps like Devils perch. And ya, go ahead and finish off the tree and get the mp7, or you can wait until the next patch when the 2 new guns come out (Snipe,Anti Tank) and then make your decision.

The pumps are a lot of fun but i find them useless for grinding or much else... but hey thats the balance system and map design.

hehe, yeah, I have loads of fun with those things. My favorite was when some guy on Wake was making a dash for it up the hill from the artillery on the beach and was heading to our flag. I fired a wild shot which only hit him with one or two pellets. I knew by the time it loaded the next shell, I wouldn't have a good shot and he'd go behind a building, so I unloaded into a nearby explosive barrel. He ended up flopping around on a roof while I only got nicked by the blast.

Any other weapon would have taken too long to make that barrel explode and he would have been safe.

Great for bunny-hoppers, too. Just like skeet shooting.
