hi guys. i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the highest video settings without compromising preformance i can get with my computer.
i have a 1.6g pentium 4, 768M of ram, and evaga geforce 6600gt thanks for all the help in advance
Processor will be your bottleneck. And tbh you could use alittle more ram. One tip, try the 77.62b Xtreme drivers from www.tweaksrus.com , they will give you some xtra fps 10-15%
yeah thnaks. i have tried all on medum with no AA and i get quite a bit of lag ill try that tweaksrus driver ur talking about. the only one i culd find tho was the 77.62 hd will this be the same? im guessing b was for bata
occasonaly i get a blue screen which says "nivida dumping phisical memory" then my computer restarts and when windows boots up it wants to send an error report about the grafix card. I cant figure out whats wrong i have all the settings to low untill i can get that driver. also sometimes these big black lines appear comming off my gun and big multi colored walls that i can walk through but not see through. some kind of texture glitch im guessing but i also get it sometimes when i play DOD and i never used to get that with my old grafix card (ati 7500 64m) so eiter the nivida driver that comes with it is really crapy or the card its self is crapy.

i had the same prob & it actually turned out to be a prob with my ram timings.... the random reboot is a tough one tho, it can be a host of things, if you know anything about your bios settings, you can tweak your ram timings & see if it makes any diff... other things to try turning off anything thats "cacheable" and any shadowing options... also ppl have had some luck increasing the agp aperture size
yeah its not my card it sounds like its my ram timings or what ever. but can someone plese give me the direct link to the extrem driver it sounds like it would help alot. also if someone wouldent mind telling me what ram timeings are and how i can change it that would be wonderfull too.
did u not read my reply to that last time. on the site the only thing i could find that was like that was the 77.62 hd now i dont know if thats the same thing or not but if its not then can u plese show me where 62b is cause i couldent find it at all on the site
