  • Dual Core Processors with BF2

Is BF2 optimized for dual core processors such as Pentium D? On the Intel website (http://www.intel.com/personal/gaming/index.htm) it says BF2 is, but a couple of my friends have said BF2 isn't, and I want to make sure since I couldn't find anything on the EA website.

Re: Dual Core Processors with BF2

i've got an AMD X2 CPU and it plays fine. i would think that EA/Dice would formally announce dual core support if they had it.

i've seen multiple threads on this forum about how people had to disable one of the cores in order for the game to play with more stability, so i'm thinking that BF2 isn't "optimized" for dual core.

^ No, it isn't optimised for D-C. Only single core. You need to set it to one of the cores in order to play BF2 without any of the problems BF2 gets from dual cores.
