    Re: high pings

Try to join servers that are close to you, it will help to keep your ping down as low as possible.

        Re: high pings

yea i used to have high ping and still do, but only when my family is awake and using the network.

My computer specs are similar and i have my settings on all medium as well. works perfect.

when i join servers with ping below 100 i usually have a ping of 10 or 20. I think your problem may be that your computer has spyware or adware infecting the system, and those can use alot of bandwith. Try disabling automatic updates too.

What type of internet connection do you have? As cable connections are affected by those poeple around you, so if alot of other people jump on the net and are all using alot of bandwidth, then yours will be reduced, causing a higher ping.

Oh yea, run virus/spyware scans and close as many other online programs as possible.

            Re: high pings

This happened to me. I used to get pings below 50, but after October my pings have skyrocketed to 1500. I just don't get it. What happened? I checked my connection and is working fine, just like it used to. I was able to play wihtout any probelms. MY PC is also working great.

Has anybody else experienced this? Does anybody know what I can do?
