i have noticed while playing that sometimes the weapons like the assault kit on USMC goes from automatic to a burst fire mode, sometimes i spawn and the weapon is completely automatic, other times i die and come back and now the weapon only fires in bursts. i have found this happen to me on many occassions on different teams MEC, and Chinese as well using the medic kit, special ops kit, and anti tank kit. i have used all the deafult weapons since i am new to bf2, so if anybody can give me any feedback on what the problem might be, or if this is even a bug, or if i am a complete idiot (wouldnt be surprised for the 3rd option). thanks in advance.

First question is, is it changing from burst to automatic by itself? Or, are you pressing '3' which switches the rifles modes from burst to automatic.Originally posted by Domnatr

he must be pressing "3" because i have 400h of playing of BF2 and it didn't happent to me eaven 1 time so... man it must be you not the game...Comment

I havent pressed any buttons like that to change from burst fire to automatic, but now that I know pressing "3" changes it, I will do that from now on, but since i am new i had no idea i could even switch it. but for the most part it would change up on me every now and then. Some maps I could go through no problem, other maps, it was a hit and miss on if the weapon would be automatic or burst fire.Comment

I;m guessing your scrolling down and selecting the weapon even though you already have it equiped, this does the same as pressing 3.Comment

I hate it when you press 3 once and it counts as 2, so you're back at old firing mode.Comment
