Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Just have it like Counter Strike, bring up a punishment list.
never got into CS, how does this work ?? Do I get a choide like "1-Kill TK'er, 2-Deduct points from TK'er....etc" Sounds like a good idea that the victim chooses the punishment.
how bout when someone tks u for let say a plane.u die for the tk and he gets pen twice.for the tk and then a 30sec time limit that he cant get in the plane.the 15 sec for respawn and 15 sec so u can get the plane.make it some time limit that when u respawn he cant tk u again.sounds good to me.
what u guys think
Hmm, how bout claymore nad AT mine TKs, lol, just cause some idiot is stupid, u die, those are the things that should be issued ifrst, then the vehicle tks, then just total accidental TKs.

and how would that make a diffrence to the punishment system we have now? All the noobs would still press 7 and not even bother to give a lesser punishment.

that sounds like a good idea.. if it was a accident, no biggy, u gotta wait an extra 15secs.. if it was on purpose, u dont have to chance to keep bein that arseish noob
How about: If you are roadkilled by a teammate thats in a plane or chopper, you dont have the option to punish. And also, M95's cannot go through a friendly chopper/planes cockpit glass. Easy as that. They cant get you to tk them so that you get kicked (roadkills) and they cant get you out.
But if they tk you while you are on the way to the vehicle i got a few suggestions:
Blinded (like a flashbang) for like 45 secodns so that the person who got shot can get back and get in the plane
Frozen in place
Or killed and have a longer spawn timer.'
Every point of damage they take from you you take also.
And if someone runs over your mine they should be credited as a suicide. Cause i mean its damn hard to miss those red hovering skull and crossbones. If you run over one you deserve to die.
I've been kicked for accidental TKs before. The guy was about to neutralise my base. I lobbed a grenade in. 3 seconds later, 4 people spawn and they die. So I get 4 teamkills. Oh, and they all punished and called me a stupid teamkilling @R$£. Kinda sucks doesn't it?
For most servers I think its more like 5....This one guy teamkilled me 8 times because he wasn't the helo pilot and he got -32...and wasn't kicked...so it just depends...that was because there was no punish system in place.

THe prob is, a tk system is not NEARLY smart enough to do any of that, they don't know just cause ur running towards a tank, means that ur running towards a tank, i mean, they can't distinguish what ur trying to do unless they become able to read ur mind. So that way, the only way TKs can be restricted, is the weapon that somebody tked with, so if lets say, u get tked by AT mines, u don't get an option to punish, and they don't lose score, but if u tk with a knife, u can punish.
Seconded, as I said before it's going to be extreamly to hard to program what you get a TK for or not so Dice left it very Basic and thats why there is so much issues. Also, if you've ever rammed something you'll notice somtimes they get the kill aswell, this is based on what I just said. It's going to be very hard to distinguish what is what.
You really believe the current tk system in place is that bad?
You've got to consider a few things:
1. Modern battlefield; big guns, big explosions, arty, aircraft, tanks, w/e. For starters, you're using weapons designed to obliterate the opponent here, and that includes running them over.
2. Dice may be slackers for releasing patches and content, but they have thought about whats in the game very hard, including this system. If you change it to any of the above systems, I can still see the problems. No punish for mines? = encouragement for nubs to lob a mine onto your tank coz you 'stole' it. Or in the airfield. Or claymore the commander.
CS system only furthers the decline for your team, and I dunno bout you, but I'd be pretty ****ed coz some pair of fagnuts got into a scuffle over some stupid ****. That system only promotes civil war: "OMG it was axident you ***, dun blind me POS" "FUK U NUB 4 TKING ME"
This system is fine, stop hassling it already. Got a prob? contact the admin and get that arsehole banned, failing that, play on a better server.
I was just reading up on how everyone was getting TK'd for helicopters and the like, when some jackass is mad that he didn't get there first. Suddenly a solution shot to mind that I think might just work.
As we've all figured out, TK'ing on purpose is just bad all around. First someone TK's you for a vehicle (You lose). When you respawn, you find the bastard, and park your G36 up his stupid arse for the rest of the round, and end with a score of -400 (You lose again). However, friendly fire keeps everyone honest, otherwise we would all just lob grenades and C4 at each other without consequence.
So, why not just REVERSE the effects? If you Fuzz up and blast one of your own with the mega popular F2000 GL, or whatever floats your boat, YOU DIE instead! If some 4 year old lacks the capacity to share his helicopter with you, and shoots you in the face as you're doing your after-start checks, HE DIES! Kinda sucks when it's accidental, but why should anyone suffer for YOUR mistake? YOU lose the points and YOU get a 15 second time out. I know it's not true to life, but this would curb this nasty little habbit pretty quickly!
What do you guys think?
I think it's BULLET PROOF!
Rim
So basically you want to make changes in the game and give everyone another reason to complain? Is that what I am understanding here? Instead of you, getting your arse out of that lame server and finding one that has honest active admins, you want to make everyone else suffer because you get tk'd for a vehicle? I would say that just is not right, and that insinuation is even more insane. Good day sir...I said GOOD DAY SIR !!!!!

they do this on some CoD2 servers and you die if you violate RoE in America's Army in some servers as well...works out pretty well but i dont think it would for a game like BF 2
I don't know if anyone's already suggested this but maybe if someone tk's you for a vehicle they are banned from entering a vehicle themselves for something like 30 secounds. Wouldn't that simply stop it?
They dont need to be killed or anything just they can't go into a vehicle automatically regardless if you decide to punish them or not, or if you do punish them then they can't go in vehicle and if they are in one they're kicked out. What do you think?
