This is a link to a video of a man firing 850 rounds out of an M60 with a single trigger pull. He shoots for 1min 45sec straight without stopping. Notice how tight his cone of fire is while proned. This is what the m60 should do in BF2 if you are prone. His spray isn't all over the place, its maybe within a 6ft radius. I never play as the support class because the gun is worthless.

Support class is good for bursts of fire.

That video is BS. I spent 4 years in a Marine Weapons Platoon. Needless to say I fired 100,000's of rounds through the M60D and M60E-3. If you were to lay on the trigger of an M60 for a prolonged period of time, here are just a few things to expect.
1. Your barrel will get soo hot, white hot in fact, that the steel becomes pliable. You will see your impact pattern grow minute by minute as your barrel becomes as floppy as a noodle
2. The feed claws in the feeding tray will inviariably fail, thus your gun will stopfeeding
3. Your headspacing will go bad and you will start to get early-fires, rounds that fire before fully seated into the chamber. This causes squibs, squib a superhot barrel, you get bullets traveling sideways at the range.
4.Slam-fire, the headspacing goes off the other direction, ramming the rounds too far into the chamber, and the sissy-fingered little extractor can't seem to pull the stuck round.
There are dozens more, you name it I have seen the M60 do it.

i hope they add damage to the support weapons along with increased accuracy to the 1.2 patch....it has been difficult to take down helos with a squad of 3+ members of the support class, which should not be.

where does the the M60 play in BF2? I fired the M60 in the Army and it was replaced by the ligher Saw(squad assault weapon). The sprinting distance would be short and it should be a loud with it is firing. I look forward to trying it if BF2 has one in a patch or booster.

There is no M60 in BF2....there is: M249(US) Type95(Chinese) RPK(MEC)

IIRC the mounted machinegun on the RIBs are M60s.
