    Planes/choppers in '42/DC...

were just as powerful as they are in BF2. Why all the complaints now? I'm thinking a lot of these complainers never really played '42 and don't understand what it's all about. This is not a infantry FPS. Ah well, if you make any one game your whole life you'll never be happy with it. Relax, play something else every now and then, watch some t.v. This is a great game to me, and probably to 90% of anyone who plays it and does not let it take over their lives.

i am glad someone finally said it, u are absolutly right, planes/helos in DC carried more ammo and were just as powerful, i remember getting pwned so many times by the su-25 and the a-10, it used to make me so mad. can u imagine if there were cluster bombs in BF2, oh man it would be crazy isane...luckily for DC they had stingers that worked.

agreed; the helo could be a little less tough, but over all I think things are pretty well balanced.

If you remember back to DC, you will remember that the AT kit came with an AT weapon and an AA weapon. So it was much harder for pilots to spawn rape because the second time they flew over a main base the would be met by a barrage of infantry AA. We could debate all day long about whether or not stingers should be given to infantry in BF2, so I'm not going to go into that...

But I think the infantry AA in DC was one reason that people did not complain as much about it.

BF2 seems like a waste of a good lookin engine with a unique (when compaired to the tom clancy clones) gameplay mode that could be really great. JO had gameplay going for it, not the 100percent best but still i reckon it was close, now if only BF2 had copyed a bit more.

But sadly nice GFX almost never go with GREAT gameplay anymore.... unless its TA spring.

Yup you could take out a helo with a tank shell, which I want for BF2.

Why not, can't really see it as a bad thing as there is no AA defence at the moment.

fair point. But mobile AA would be a better solution (*starts heated debate*). People woudn't come here and "WHAT THE HELL! A THOMPSON! *sigh* this game is so unrealistic..." bla bla bla.

Uh no. I was talking about DC, and the planes move to fast in bf2 plus the guns are to inaccurate

Give me the SA-3 from DC and people will be complaining that jets are underpowered.

Yeah, IIRC in DC and '42 planes were slower and carried less bombs.

DC owned :) but AA owns ;P
