    Proof that I'm not Improving

Just had a look at player growth on BF2S. The figures don't look good and i think you could describe it as a definite performance plateau.

I think i'll change my battle tactics.

It's not even a plateu, you're declining. Better stop the slide now or before you know it you'll be worse than when you started!

I think almost everyones would look that way unless you are blazin.uk or something. WHat tactics would you employ or stop employing to improve?

I am assuming this is your states: http://bf2s.com/player/Bullit_toof/

That being said, I think you are good enough with the combat side of the game. Looking at your team work score compared to your combat score, you need to balance your game out a bit more. This could help with your score per minute.

When ever you deal with stats, after a while, your stats will level off and you won't see much change. I was fairly level for a while in my SPM and K/D ratio.. I then got better over a couple of months. But now, if these change by even .01, I think I have made a decent improvement because my stats are essentially "set in stone".

I mentioned this to the owner of bf2s.com, but it would be nice if you could see your stats for a given time period (hours played in the game). My K/D ratio right now is 1.12, but I bet it's really more like 1.5 for the past month.

Hey dont worry man just look at mine I went down and then back up. But to be totally honest having great stats does not always make you a good player. So just have fun and dont worry about your stats.

Having great stats does not make for a good player..we all know this.

But good TRENDS can certainly indicate a good player.

If somebody wants to pad their stats...that is just lame.

If somebody wants to improve on their trends..that's ok with me.

Re: Proof that I'm not Improving

Ive found that most of my stats depend on the players that I play against. (By the way I have a K/D ratio as of today at 3.2, I think thats way over inflated) A lot of players like to play on the same 3 or 4 servers if those are full then they randomly select another. Which means that you have about a 50/50 chance of getting your but handed to you or owning. Depending whose on at that day. If you play say about 4 hours a week you might try just surfing the server list, a game or two here a game or two there, and exposing yourself to new tactics. I would also try joining a squad every now and then. I do this myself to try and get new Ideas and improve my score. Think of this game as being like a big puzzle and you never know where you will find the next piece. Good Luck. . . . . .Red

While my stats have been a steady increase, I often check other people's stats and often this is not the case for them, so you aren't alone. Some people's ratios graphs look like the rocky mountains.

The problem i'm having with teamwork score is finding a squad that plays for the team. Everyone seems to run in opposite directions, wanting to do their own thing. I think i'll start playing more teamy now though i.e running behind someone with a wrench/medikit/ammo. What do you think the best kit is for teamplay??

                          Thanks for the input everyone.

Try joining a squad and checking the map before you spawn. If the green dots are together then they're working as a team (probably). If they are all over the map then check out the next squad.

Well there are two significant ways to get team points. The first would be to be involved in capturing flags (being inside the flag radius). If your the first one in there and stay in that radius, you will get more points.

You will either capture it with little or no resistance and get easy points. If there is resistance, you will have to put your combat skills into action. Fighting and capturing a flag takes more skill IMO than just fighting alone.

The other way is determined by the kit you play. With the kit comes different primary weapons. Take that into consideration when choosing them.

An engineer won't get you a lot of team work points. You play that kit if you want to help your team, with out the proper payback. It takes more time to get a repair point compared to a health pack or ammo pack.

The support can get you some decent points by giving out ammo packs. This is especially true if you are defending a base and there some AT guys around. If you take over a mine base and the commander is constantly trying to fix his stuff, just start handing your packs out to the Spec Ops guys.

The medic is probably the kit that will get you more of these team work points. A med pack will usually get you 1 point and a revive 2. There is also the added benefit of keeping your team mates in the fight longer.

The only thing I would suggest is not to go overboard with the reviving. If some one dies, don't just go up to them and revive them so they can die .5 seconds later. Make sure the area is clear and then revive. Be a smart medic.
