How is time recorded in game?

Ive clocked up some silly hours in this game. So I was looking at my stats and I see that Ive played for 1024:24 mins
But all my kit times only add up to 947:54

So does this mean Ive been waiting to respawn for 76 hours ? !!!!

well loading times shouldnt count. I ve guessed that the kit clock still runs if your in vehicles.

Well 15 Seconds Each time you die adds up to something..

You have 34,272 deaths x 15 seconds = 514080 seconds total/3600 seconds (one hour) = 142 hours sitting there dead.
