How do YOU avoid the sucky servers?

Have you ever had the desire to totally eliminate the chance of you ever accidentally stumbling into a certain sucky server again?

I mean the ones that are always full of UCB campers/bombers, TKers, and general smacktards (flashing own team, TK then revive, etc.).

It would be nice if there were a function in the favorites menu (or better yet..the main server list) that would let you block a server, so it can be avoided in the future.

I don't know about you guys, but since I'm very selective about what maps I play (depending on my mood), I jump around a lot from one server to another. This wouldn't be so bad if the server interface made it easier (or even possible) to track where you've been or even where you are, but as it is, it's not easy to do.

What I've found myself doing at times when I'm really frustrated is to actually say "please ban me from this sorry a## server, so I don't end up coming back by mistake". Well, it hasn't worked yet!

So, what do you guys suggest? How can I easily identify and avoid these sucky servers?

    Thanks

Sorry man but it's generally not the servers that suck. It's the players. I've often thought of starting a list like I did with EQ so I know what players to avoid. Lets face it, it only takes one or two idiots to totally ruin a game. There are times when I marked a server as one of my favorites then after a couple terrible episodes asked myself "why on earth did you mark that steaming pile of crud a favorite?" It's very frustrating for me as it can take up to 10 minutes for me to even join a server. Stupid old computer =(

Well, ranked, public servers are rarely full of idiots 100% of the time, so a blacklist would probably end up hurting you more than helping you. With that said, though, I have wished daily for this sort of mechanism so I can stop getting on servers that force a team switch after every round. I hate that, and thus, I hate those servers. :)

You're probably right, but it gets pretty frustrating sometimes.

I guess what ticks me off the most are the servers that plainly state on their server page things like "TKers and UCB camper/bombers not tolerated", so you think COOL, that's my kind of server. THEN, when you get in there, the place if FULL of tards (a lot of times it's the clan members themselves) and either the admins won't do anything about it, or there aren't any admins there at all!

I totally sympathize with you on the team switch issue. I play USMC almost exclusivley, mainly because I fly the Blackhawk quite a bit, but also cuz I'm an Army retiree and can't stand fighting for the other side, even if it is only a game.
