Tactics comparison to help this noob here....

Ok so I'm totally used to Americas Army, so thats why I name this stuff here too.

I copied it from the thread I just posted in my clans forums....it's damn long I can tell u

Factors that are needed to win a one to one fight.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I know all of them in Americas Army, there are quite a few:

    Americas Army

-If your gonna nade or try to flash your enemy before you are gonna fight? Your weapon will be gone for a second, quite a risque.

-How are you going to aproach your enemy, from the back what takes longer and you might be shot by another enemy.

-When you are going to face him, is it sneaky and silently? Jump in the doorway to make him scared lol (IT WORKS!!!!!).

-Where are your going to shoot, torso wich messes up his aim or head wich is more difficult but faster if u do it right.

    -Is your enemy good?

-If you have support gun, you can just walk over the enemy, if you have rifle you should be more carefull.

    -Wich gun does Opfor have?

-Begin shooting before u see him to decrease reaction time and getting the first shot wich will mess his aim up and will give u an advantage.

    And these things REALLY MATTER!
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Battlefield 2

Support gun doesn't make a real difference in fights in BF2, at least not as much as I'm used to. I dont notice accuracy differences either rly, I know they're there but well......

Who gets the first shot doesn't matter cause you can aim pretty good while being shot at.

I generally miss nades........need to practice that

And area matters and stuff, but with the less damaging effects from a single bullet in general you become alot more free in what to do and it doesn't really matter anymore how you are going to fight.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So......this is what makes it an arcade game and it's what makes this game fun too (something else than the more stress u get from AA) but how do you get good at this game?

I always end up being last in the team Seems like there's nothing much I can do about it......

Are there some deciding factors in a fight that can let you win? Wich guns are real damaging?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Maybe something like:

HELP THIS NOOOBBB!!!! Gimme some tips!!! Or if I just have the wrong view towards this guide me a bit to give me the BF2 spirit and tips cause I keep getting last in the score results.....

    Simple diffrence.

In AA in close quarters you should ALWAYS be stood up and never hesitate. You hit them first they bleed and there screwed.

In BF2 always lie down in pretty well any situation, and often its good to hesitate because if they hit you first it doesn't matter whats important is hitting them in the right place.

Ya seriously, the best thing is lie down, get the accuracy up by doing that and aim for the headshot. Also if hes far take the time to switch your weapon to Single shot (or 3/burst depending on the gun)

Also against those bunnyhoppin n00bs, GL em if ure assault if not take that pistol out. Ive taken down so many of them with the pistol, and it gets real easy to do.

yes of course, the head being preferable obviously :p

Bear in mind in BF2 the guns are really unrealistic and crappy, if you want reasonable accuracy then the g36c is your best bet but even then you want to lie down and you need to hit the upper body/chest or head area.

There is no gun like the M4 in AA. I think if the AA M4 was introduced say tonight with no warning then id be racking up ridiculous amounts of kills.

BF2 plays more like a really pathetic quake mod than it does a historical/sim. Overall its try to get that powerfull gun on one shot and than sprint jump the day away using the grenade launcher at the feet or the gun to the chest and face while both jump and/or dive (prone from jumping in a duel after grenades are fired for the accuracy boost which helps if you need to spray). Regular grenades come into play as a medic and they are thrown by looking slightly up and maybe jumping for extra distance.

If you don't get any lag things will be pritty simple, its not like you have to bounce the other player around by firing rockets at their feet heh.

BF2 guns might be crappy, but that pistol u carry owns at close range

Re: Tactics comparison to help this noob here....

The thing why I love AA is because when you just start the game....your gonna see all those professionals, people rushing you, flashing before you can even get the chance of shooting enemies, smoking them if it's good, but finding out smoke aint everything either:S

If you ever download Americas Army 2.5, you'll see it's much more directed to simulation and it's just awsome to learn how to fight in the game:) You cant do everything you like, heck there's one map "bridge crossing" and if you go to the middle too fast your kinda stuck...you will be in frag heaven then, you'll be blown up in 30 seconds most.

This makes up for the small but VERY well thought out maps, all the different things needed to win makes the game...bigger and more fun.

BUT BF2 is awsome...I'm completely stunned by the size of Dragon Valley's full map It's just sick and it's awsome I'm not gonna play Americas Army for a while, time to make a change:p

Enemy sighted / go prone / allways good aimed shots with whatever weapon your using . Target your enemy also, so that team/squad mates can help the fight against armour / multiple threats . Your best friend against enemy choppers is a vehicle mounted .50cal
