    File Conversion

    hey i need help converting my avi files from fraps to a more efficient file..... anyone know of a free program that i can dl?

      I'm not quite sure what you mean by "more efficient" but VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod might be in keeping with what you're after ...




      They're both very useful for when playing around with AVI files.

        What will you be using these fraps files for? are they bascily private files for your viewing pleasure or something that you will be uploading to the whole world..

        if its private files, Windows Movie Maker 2 is a video editing program, which you can bascily drag the footage you want to save onto the timeline, and then save that all to a .WMV of your quality and size preference..

        However if you are going to upload it to the world, you COULD use .wmv but in in a high quality preset. Other than that use the xvid codec.. Try what John-Paul said

          If you have Windows XP than yes, use Movie Maker, it's a very good program and you already have it.

            Just put em in Movie Maker and export it out again, simplest way and you get a much smaller file.

              yep, i did it with some of my "funny" private css/bf2 clips, funny moments with friends that i wanted to hold on to, however did not want it taking up space
