How to defeat spawn campers on warlord.

If a tank or APC (any vehicle for that matter) is spawn camping. (this only works if you have buildings, any height advantage, this works very well at the TV station) spawn as Spec ops and get up to the roof of the building then use your zipline to get behind the vehicle. Most of the time the tank will be too busy watching the spawn point to see 1 guy on a zipline. then plant your C4 then..........you now the rest.
Thsi probably seems obvious but im sick of people standing looking at campers and not doing anything about it.
What im trying to say is the zipline (for me) is the best form of combating spawn campers.
i fanyone else has any tips to beat spawn campers feel free to share them

1. Use their pwn cheese against them (aka..spawn camp)

As you can tell by my handle name..... LOL

Actually Ive tried suggesting to EA to at least give a spawning character a 3-5 second "invincibility" time at all preset spawn points. Not able to fire a weapon during that time so no one could exploit it and with 3 to 5 seconds you only have enough time to get the hell out of dodge instead of rushing a base flag or anything. But the good folks that the EA peeps are, I only get a "Thank you for your Suggestion" reply and nothing else....so I email em at least once a day LOL

The best way to deal with being pwned by spawn campers is to join a squad and spawn on the SL, that way you dont spawn where the spawn campers camp.

*clap clap clap clap* :) Agree 100 percent, heck even ask your SL to move away from the flag when it is assaulted so they may throw C4 around it and defend a flank while being ready to retake or clear the area with said C4.

Or if the spawn times are very low just spawn at another flag and start running instead of respawn die respawn die respawn die score feeding if your SL is a fool.

Sometimes that tank has to camp because the tank is really a support tool so worry about your flags raidus and than get the anti tank counters or just have one or two ready in a high spot incase the tank user is a squad leader with a constant flow of troops coming from the tank or LAV.

And 3-5 seconds is long enough to let a person run behind others with a knife or up to a tank to set up C4. Very stupid gameplay feature since this game isn't a simple Quakeish DM style game.

But what if you got an APC sitting around on a level thats almost wide open and it just shoots whoever appears....ive had that happen a couple of times and there was no way to get out of it.

lol, 3 - 5 seconds of invinsibility....why not just give you guys noclip? That would suck really bad when it came to capturing a spawn...think about it....you wouldnt know if the guy just spawned or not so do you shoot? If he just spawned, you would waste your entire clip of ammo on him for nothing, and the opposite, you would die for waiting. The real answer is figure out a way around it...or spawn somewhere else....cant?, then why did you let yourselves get choked up into one spawn in the first place?

I am not negative, just a little smarter when it comes to playing :)

IN SF if you get spawned to just one flag, play assualt and drop flashes, yes you blind everyone even armour, but after 10 seconds everyone has scattered and you have a chance of messing up the campers. If you start to out number them they have a lot further than you to run to get back to that flag if you nail them.

Tear Gas often works as well, just not effective against armour. Frankly smoke helps as well.

The squad leader/member is the way to go against spawn campers on all the maps. The squad leader's job is to find the sweet spot to spawn. The squad's job is to come back (not everyone all at once) with the kit that does the required job. You can usually move around in cover AT range from an APC. The visual through the porthole isn't all that good, and he keeps having to rotate out of paranoia if nothing else.

A good squad leader will be parked where there's all kinds of access to all kinds of useable cover. Having a spawn camper present just means someone has beat you to the punch. There should be some benefit to reap if he's allowed to get that edge. So, you must take it from him. To the victor go the spoils? Spoil his victory. You know his position. The element of surprise works FOR you, not him. Squad leaders/members, only way to go.

I have started playing on servers that allow spawn camping, I think it is great, it makes the other team rethink their tactics and it really lets you rack up the old score!
