So last night...(sorry, gotta vent)

So last night I'm playing on a 50 player SF server. Everything is going well, then comes devils peak (or whatever that night board with the big hill is called) and things are going good. I have the high score for my team (50pts) with about 100 tickets left for both sides and we capture the main base on the top of the hill.

I go to c4 the commander assets, place my c4s, run away, and as im running i see a whole squad run past me towards the UAV and artillary. I figure they see all the c4s everywhere and are going to run past them to the main gate. Keep in mind its dark, so I cant really see where people are. So i wait a few seconds, then blow it. Turns out everyone was using the assets for cover (idiots) and didnt notice (or care about) the c4 planted everywhere. I went from 50 points to about 20 in 3 seconds.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? !?!?!

You shouldnt' have run that far away, most of the time you see unexploded c4 is when someone's died planting it or its defensive. Did they all punish you? Unlucky anyways

Checking the minimap first might have saved you some grief but I can see myself on either side of this scenario. It usually takes two stupid moves to create an accidental TK. Stupid is a little harsh in this instance, but you get the idea. If one of you had done something a little different you'd have kept your points and they would not have had to respawn. I've run over mines that were poorly placed even after I'd seen them. The engineer didn't leave much room to go around and I thought I had enough room to make it by. In this case stupid would apply.

Or......maybe they were trying to place their own C4 when you blew them up. They saw your C4 but thought they'd try to get the points first. In that case they were just a bunch of point stealing noobs that deserved to die. :box:

I had a similar incident where I c4'd a radar trailer and as I running away to blow it another SpecOP guy goes running up to C4 it knowing full well that I just did and was about to blow it. He dies and punishes me for the kill when it was his greed for one measly point. He was watching me set up to blow it yet ran in anyway.

lol, thanks guys. I kinda learned my lesson too i guess.

I guess the rule is just assume everyone is stupid and plan accordingly.

Yep. It always happens to me. I rig the thing up with c4 and just about to press the button when some other Ops runs in and plants HIS c4, while knowing full well that I just placed mine there. Cos he's close to the artry (or wotever) I cant blow it. He normally nicks the points.

Totally agreed. It got better for a while (or a lot of servers just disabled it) but now its bad. I guess people learned it sucks to punish someone because for every person you punish (for an accident) 5 others will punish you back.

Now all the noobs who got this for christmas think its cool to punish.

On a side note:
I wonder if there was a server setting that would only allow people with a certain number of points (global) or rank to join, would that be good or bad?

well wat happened to taking tking off that would make it better and yes tkers suck and i hate how ppl punish u before u get to say srry or anything arrgh i go shoot myself now becuase of stupid noobs
