Awards or combat?

Brand new here but I've been playing since Sept. I was just looking thru the forums and it's got me wondering. How many of you play just for the fun of the game and how many of you play with getting a specific award in mind? Granted, for some, that may be part of the fun, but you get what I'm asking. How many just simply play irregardless of awards? The only award I ever actually specifically tried for was the basic knife badge, just wanted that one for some reason, all my other awards have been incidental. How about you?

I ONLY play for awards. I'm working on my Navy Seal Special Service Medal and according to BF2S I should earn it in 40627 days. That's 111 years. I think I can do it.

Play for fun and to win. If you get an award great, if not, who cares. It's a game. Besides, some of the awards are a joke to get.

I play with my next unlock constantly in mind. Without the character building aspect, the game wouldn't be nearly as appealing in my opinion.

The combat is gonna come, the fun will be had irregardless.

Awards are just a way of idiots saying look at me I spend 6 hours a day in a tank spawnkilling people.

I have much much more respect when I see a sig. that has nothing but sniper badges or just medic badges, myself I like to get awards but I wont go out of my way to get them.... When I have good games they come.

I find it a combination of both, you play for fun, nd most fun is in action combat, but when you are close to getting ome award or whatever , you can play towards that for some time, getting awards isn't important, but it is nice to have a lot and to get some

I play just for fun. All of the badges/ribbons I have gotten have just come in due time. I don't bunny hop or dolphin dive to help me score kills or "dodge" bullets. And I don't really care if people dolphin dive or bunny hop to avoid being shot because eventually I'm gonna get you during the course of the game. I have often wondered how people can do that the whole game and not get a headache, lol.

I model my playing style and gameplay around awards, so I can recieve them asap, but I don't log on BF2 thinking, "OMG I MUST GET NAVY CROSS TODAY THEM I WILL BE UBER 1337!!!!111!1!1!1one!!1!1!"

Play for fun - with awards always in the back of my mind. I like having a goal to work for.

regardless works just fine on its own.


I just play... awards come. Sometimes... if I KNOW I am close to one, I MAY favor it a bit.

I play for fun and for the awards, Like someone else said its part of the appeal to the game and by getting each award you have to become a all rounder with each badge ribbon and medal.
