Possible to mod BF2 to use SF weapons?

Seeing as the SF weapons are included in BF2 (via patch 1.12) is it possible for someone to mod it so they could be used in singleplayer and LAN in vanilla BF2?

There's an unranked server somewhere i cant remember the i.p. but all the unlocks are unlocked on it so it must be possible

That's not what Bio_terra's asking for. Servers like those simply allow the use of all the unlocks.

Not ALL the new SF-only weapons are able to be unlocked for vanilla BF2.

I don't think this is possible at the moment but from what I remember, the hugh 280Mb patch we downlaoded was to add the SF weapons to the basic BF2 package even if they aren't unlockable. A mod @ EA UK said that future modders could use all the available BF2 and SF weapons in a future mod.

I believe that the OP is not asking for a mod in the normal gaming sense (e.g. DC mod) but a way of modifing the game to allow all SF weapons in BF2 LAN. I'm guessing that it could be done but don't think anything is out at the moment.

I heard that if you log in to your account on a computer using SF, and plays a round or whatever, the game then thinks you own SF and you get all the SF unlocks available when you play the regular BF2.

He means that once you play SF once, you'll be able to use the permitted SF weapons in normal BF2 without having to buy the game (use a friends copy).

yes but to get the sf unlocks do u have to play sf everytime u rank up and unlock weapons that way or can u do it from BF2 once u have played sf once

Techincally it should be possible, since the data regarding those weapons are already installed in your computer, the only thing thats preventing you from using them is acess

I dont foresee anyone being able to use them on multiplayer server at wil, but Im sure someone can mod it to be aviliable on single player or lan.

The 1.12 patch ONLY includes the SF unlocks, not the basic SF weapons. They can be modded to be available the same way you can make the BF2 unlocks available (in SP that means modding the kits' unlockLevel).
