yes, it happned to me after a reformat of my HDD.

What EA said to do was to look at your registry for BF2 and make sure it has the same CDkey in that as BF2SF. I know it's vague but I dont have the actual process here at work.

if youre unfamiliar with registry, type regedit in the run deally and navigate thru your local machine to the EA games/BF2 folder and find a reg key with it in there.

well i went thru the registry thingy...and found a whole lotta crap...when i clicked on the Battlefield 2/SF icons it dropped two things down..."ergc" and "wdc" i looked in "ergc" and found a lot of numbers and letters...SF and BF2's number/letters are both diff. from eachother but im not sure if im supposed to change it or not but does anyone know what im talking bout?

Look in the Support forum at the top, I have a thread at top of forum called Invalid CD key

I have explained how it worked for me, and I link to the EA Knowledge Base article it is heavily based on. The EA article however uses the BF2 cd-key for both entries, but with me that didn't work.
I had to use the logical way where the BF2 key is entered for BF2 and for BF2:SF the BF2:SF CD-key.

If either of the way works, please let me know.
