    Laggg 16 Ping ??? WTF

    Hi all i have just built a beast and have been running BF2 sweet once I figured the X2/BF2 compatibility problem lol. But the last few days i have been lagging a bit when playing. My Ping has been a solid 16/17. I was just wondering if anyone has an idea what could be causing this i really have no idea. Cant be my system and my ping well 16/17 pppffffff :cry:

      check your drivers. check that your hardware is compatable (it might be a bottle neck), check your internet connection, reduce your graphics setting for the game.

          Do a virus spyware and adaware scan. I use adaware and spyware(both free) and try some other virus and trojan detectors. check your processes also. SOmetimes I will cloes a IE or firefox window but the process will still be running and it lags the hell out of the machine.

              it may also be the servers lagging, so if you get it next time, ask if anyone else is lagging, if not, then its something on your end, id recommend updating your drivers like Eden said

                  You mean that the fps is stuck at 16 and not your ping don't you?

                      no my ping is a nice 16 and my fps is around 90 well it aint happnin no more lol

                          I just began getting kicked by PunkBuster for "High Average Ping". Every setting and component on my comp is the same as it had been for months. The only thing new was a little java applet I had to install for a "cable modem speed test", and the new BF2 patch. My internet works as it's always worked, so I don't know. What port would BF2 be using? Anyone know?
                          I've since reinstalled BF2, and so PUnkbuster, too, and it did nothing.
