At Abu Grave prison, at least 3 of the people convicted for torture were PRISON GUARDS, now if that doesnt make sense to you, maybe a clown slipping on a banana will or your not from UK/US. In games its not so realistic and you can die, i have to say though some of the tactics in this game is basic army combat. You avatar is Agent Smith, a mind controlling agent of a facist and power hungry system, thats your hero... Mines Captain America. You just dont get it do you, there are people here involved in the millitary, active/reserve/retired who like to play war games . They do this for real and what they do in game usually reflcts real life. I.E. a bridge crossing, do u pop smoke and run or go prone and crawl / Alternatively do u swim across undetected? I.E. do u run/walk and secretly take a base or go loud with a tank.
I dont even know why im trying to make you see the light, one question you BEACHWOOD should answer is
Would you ever join the army?
Wow, he already did, he already said he served in Iraq. Anyways, my objective in game, to have fun, if i just feel like corpse humping, i do it. There is no objective of this game, if u want an objective, go play America's Army. In this game, my objective is to have fun, while people like blazin (point leader of all of BF2 gaming community) just wanna get points, and some people just wana get some anger off by fragging people. Anyways, captain america lol. My hero is either my USP Tactical, or my Mk.23 (pistols, very good pistols, considering i have the USP Tactical in .40SW, and .45ACP). The USP Tactical is my normal home defense gun, if anybody breaks into my home with like a 2x4, they're dead, i'll just hold em at gunpoint until the police come. Anyways, if u want a war game, go to www.americasarmy.com, then download the newest version, it's totally free cause it's a promotional thing for the US Army. It's much more realistic, u got 1 shot kills, deadly accurate LMGs. Deadly accurate sniper rifles, and no bunnyhopping. Anyways, u can't tell somebody's hero by their avatar, look at my avatar, guess what plane that is (u'll never get it right, even though it's one of the best planes in the world, people that are patriotic and root too much for America, and don't care about other countries tech, will never know what this is most likely).

BTW, i wouldn't say eliminating the enemy is ur objective in this game. It's more like staying alive, and try to eliminate the enemy.

While in Iraq I did not hump any of the corpses nor did I want to. I did not f@#k any of my kills, and again I did not want to. Corpse humping in games is simply a visual way of saying "hey, you just got powned". You may need to hit maturity or atleast gain a few I.Q. points. Again, I will tell you that it's just a GAME. If you are playing it or in a forum for it and are over 12 years old then you are immature in one way or another. So, please keep your whining to yourself and post some positive things instead of killing everyones fun. If you guys want to talk about REAL life and it's REAL problems go to a forum that is based on REAL life. Otherwise, stick to the fact that we are talking about a GAME that has nothing to do with REAL life.
I would have to agree with this post. I am a very law abiding citizen. But I can't tell you how many times I have been chased by the cops and the Army in Grand Theft Auto 3. I would run over people, shoot them and what not just to get some cop cars and a tank to chase me.

Would I ever do this in real life. HELL NO! I wouldn't get into a fight with some just because they ****ed me off or "dissed" me, that's just plain stupid.

Like I posted before, I will do this from time to time, but I much prefer to throw med packs on him, not all of the time but only when the situation warrants it. I like playing this GAME with some amount of seriousness. It's fun to "role play" that you are some bad-ass soldier capable of kicking some butt and taking over bases.

Every time I watch Black Hawk Down, I get the urge to start up BF 2 and play some city maps. It's hard to balance the fun and serious side of games. It can be fun to go into a base just by yourself and take out 3 enemies and cap their flag. It can also be fun to go into an enemies base, take out their commander's assets as well as a few soldiers.

Granted, i would use tactics that maybe your everyday soldier would in the battlefield. Yes, it's fun to out think think your opponent. But there are other times when I will sacrifice myself by jumping out of a jeep to take on a tank with my AT missile just to give my squad leader the chance of getting away.

Some of these things I would do if this was real life, but some I wouldn't. The point is, it's a GAME and thus should be played that way.

Totally agreed, i loved play GTA3, it was so fun just driving on the sidewalks, looking just to kill citizens, and hopefully cops just cause i wanted to get that 6 star level. And i agree, every time i watch a good war movie, i have an urge to go to BF2 and frag people on Karkand. Anyways, when i'm feeling serious, i play Americas Army, it's so hard to kill people if ur defending unless u camp, one false move and u die there. In BF2, it's so funny seeing how susceptable to see how many people put themselves in a prime place to be sniped, or just killed for that matter, i laugh even more when somebody doesn't kill that guy.

          Re: Corpse Humping??

Without disrespecting my trans-Atlantic allies, the US army takes ANYBODY, your recuiters recruit anyone that has 2 arms (with working index fingers), 2 legs and a head. Youd probably fit into that category.

I dont work for EA games but i will promote their realism, ALL war games are based on real life. Even the US army has its own game, "Americas Army", not to mention an unmodded version of the retail "Full Spectrum Warrior" used to train active personel. The most famous example i can think of is "Project IGI2: Covert strike" Ex SAS hero Chris Ryan was the millitary advisor for it.
BF2`s concepts arnt new, there just plagarized(copyed) from many games and put into 1 supergame. BF2 is totaly based on CnC Generals, EA do own it so they can do whatever they want. There are elements of CS:Source/SWAT4/Operation Flash point/Soldner Secret Wars/Delta force Black Hawk Down and bound to be more, thats why its so popular.

Ok your a "freindly" in that sense but i make my final point,
Corpse humping is strange, luckyly enough ive been fortunate to never see it, then again i only play on UK severs... Its abnormal behavior even in a video game, im only 17 and realise that its not human, you get a B*ner from that fair enough dude, i personally like Stacy-Kate Taylor (class mate)and Janine Lindermulder (P*rn starlet), they do it for me. Ok im stupid please leave me alone

Ah new info, its not about "letting rip" on the battle field im just saying "Corpse humping" is tottaly useless and macarbe(Dictionary.com) and cant understand why it would give people kicks. I played San Andreas, its violent, and so...? If you thought i was referring to violence then you guys jumped the gun but dont worry, your human, it separates us from monkeys

Hey eddy, its bound to be an F-16 Falcon but im counting on it being an F-18 hornet, dont take to much time to memorise US plane shapes.

still goes, leave me alone Beach Wood

Third, my avatar is simply a way to distinguish myself from everyone else in a forum. I was stationed at Ft.Stewart, GA from 2000-2003 after completing infantry basic trainging and 11M AIT. I did server in Kosovo, and in the first stages of the war in Iraq. As a matter of fact, I helped clear Saddam's and his son's palaces after entiring and taking control of Baghdad, Iraq. I can send you the pictures and diary of our imbedded reporters if you would like. If you want to look me up go ahead...Aco-3/7 Infantry from 2000-2003. I am now stationed at 310 Armed Forces Drive, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051 with a reserve unit after getting off active duty. So, remember you are playing a game, that is almost nothing like real life at all. I can promise you that. If you want to compare the sacrifices of our soldiers, past and present, to a f$#king video game and tell me how they relate then please enlighten us all. Surely, I am not the only red blooded American soldier here that would love to hear your explaination. BTW I am 24 years young, and still immature for playing video games, according to my wife.
ok so u pwn him on the joining the army, and now he says joining the army is no big deal....

u must feel bad entering a battle of wits with an unarmed man.... kinda like mike tyson vs screech from saved by the bell

anyway, for the record, in 24 & a proud member of the necrophiliacs of bf2 club... if i ever see u in game, ill be sure to hump u good :P

                  Re: Corpse Humping??

I corpse hump everybody I kill who is by themselves, and not in a squad, cos they deserve it. The counter to me corpse-humping you is to use teamwork.

I even have a macro drawn up for it:

Crouch/stand/crouch/stand/crouch.......(wait).....stand, then say "you've been teabagged!" It often annoys the hell out of 12 year old haxors, but older guys tend to find it funny :)

                    Re: Corpse Humping??

Its not the concept of joining an army, its the concept of "Proffesionalism/Dicipline" which the army should instill in someone, it doesnt make sense if its not there, it doesnt make sense... Maybe i confused and drew both lines too close, I meant/mean "Corpse humping" is totaly useless and macarbe(Dictionary.com) and cant understand why it would give people kicks. When in the battle field, the choice is yours but its influenced by 1 simple thing Real or NOT Real.
I dont wana go around bashing necros for humping but my point still stands, its wierd.

wow, there are a lot of humorless Yanks in here... Its a game. If someone teabags your corpse its funny, its not a personal insult. It isn't as if they did it in real life..... You lot need to lighten up a bit is all, you look like idiots for not being able to take a joke. Hell, even the French guy I play online with finds it funny. I havent asked the Dutch guy, I fear for what his reply will be :P

The whole point is ,LT_RYVEN, that some people use it as a tactic, or just for giggles. What you find funny or entertaining may be weird to some as well. Just don't degrade things because you don't like them. Corpse humping is weird, but so was the idea of an airborne infantry. For me it is just a tactic to use against fresh players who have not become accustomed to it yet. No hard feelings, and I'm sorry if you feel I am trying to pinpoint you. Check out my video LT, and tell me if the stick figure can't make you laugh. It's the one on the very first post of this topic...enjoy it man...that's all it's about. Let the corpse humping continue..............mmmm...yeahh....eat that....pownzorred.....sniff that chocolate starfish noob!!!
