    Rounds

Hey guys, I was looking at the criteria for receiveing Medals, Badges and Ribbons, and it says, For example:

28 Minutes as Commander in 1 round
Commander Score of 50 in 1 round.

What classes as a round? When alive to dead? Or one whole team win, begining to end? I assume it's the later. But i'm not too sure.

    :)

A round is when the map starts to when the map ends and you see the scores for everyone.

The 28 mins as a commander - is time while you are in that role - alive or dead I do not think matters...but you have to have spawned into the game at some point in time for it to count.

Commander score of 50 in one round - means that your score is 50 before the map ends (and if you win - get your 2x). It is the first number when you hit tab to look at the scores.

The different numbers in the score are:

        Re: Rounds

Is commander score REALLY the first number that you see on the left? I only ask because if I kill things as commander my score does increase because of the kills, therefore it's TOTAL score (command + teamwork + combat).

I've proven this to myself - as commander I killed the very first person on the map, i.e. the first person to score, and my overall round points DID increase - so I'm not sure if it means commander points as in "your average score calculated from everyone elses" or "your average score PLUS your combat score". Also, I've tried playing a single round as a commander then exiting and checking stats - my combat AND commander scores both increase.

I think by "commander score" it means your total command + combat points at the end of a round. Although you can earn teamwork points THEN become commander, when I got my veteran badge these teamwork points were NOT counted.

Think about it this way then - it is your score - while you are a commander.

However - that being said - I do not think you can get 49 points, then take command for #50 and get the award. I think it is 50 pts earned IAR while being commander.

As for getting pts as commander for kills - did not happen. More than likely one of your teammates got an ammo giving pt, or capped a flag, or did something to get you pts.

The ONLY pts you get as a commander - is the average TEAM pts from your whole team.

There are many threads on this - so it is not a debate, and not something I made up.

            Re: Rounds

Nothing frustrates me more than watching Commanders fly around in jets bombing the crap out of everyone. Its nearly impossible to do a good job commanding while flying, and anyways each of those kills could've been converted into Commander points if you'd let a teammate fly the plane instead. Same thing on the ground, if you cap a flag as Commander you're only hurting your own score. [They should arm Commanders will a pair of binoculars and a pencil/clipboard... LOL] Anyways, Beer is right - your team needs to average 50 pts while youre commanding for the badge. But, does the 2x modifier count towards the badge or not?

              Re: Rounds

You need the 50 before the 2x or whatever the requirement is. Most of them are before the 2x - regardless of the win or not.
